Here is a demonstration on how I do my Berimbolo sweep. This way works best for me. I made this video for a school project on trends. I had to explain why the Berimbolo is a new trend in BJJ tournaments.
Good effort for the video mate, nobody is perfect but you had a go. I applaud you my friend for having a go. Even if it isn't the best you still had a crack and it did come out well. Good luck in any future endeavors.
That's a 6 point transition IF you end up with his back and both hooks in. 2 for the sweep, and 4 for back control w/hooks. I don't see how you got a purple belt if you don't even know what scores what in BJJ.
Please please please just read the rules!! they can be found on the IBJJF website... Pass guard 3 pts, take the back with 2 hooks (legs not crossed)=4 pts, sweep = 2pts really not difficult!! How do you reach purple without knowing this????
Also note that you mention the ADCC comp coming up, only difference point scoring wise is that taking the back with 2 hooks is worth 3pts instead of 4pts like IBJJF... still not adding up to 8!!!
If the instruction was more detailed with more close ups and finer points would be great. All we see is a rather disjointed demonstration with no real instruction.
Son,your berimbolo its so bad,you need to finish with both hooks in,to get 4 points. Your berimbolo,you would only get 2 points,and even if you had 2 hooks in,would be only 6 points...so you would be better of removing this video,its ridiculous!!
