i have had many many dreams about the 65. starred at it like i was in love with it. its way above my pay grade but that didnt stop me from dreaming, and appreciating all it could do and where i would stop going around the world.
There you go, some nice hand finished woodwork in a darker colour befitting an oceangoing vessel. Although I have no skin in this game it seems I have very particular tastes. The PERFECT Explorer Yacht in my opinion, would be a Bering finished on the interior like the Nordhavn 120’ Aurora. There is a video walk through of the Aurora on RU-vid. That interior is spectacular, with its gorgeous woodwork and furnishings. Pick any room in that yacht and there can be no mistake, you are inside a luxury oceangoing vessel as opposed to you could be inside a beautiful home or a luxury Miami condo, etc. Yes, I am aware there originally were some serious issues with the Aurora and a lawsuit, but none of that had to do with the interior woodwork or decor, which were stunning.

I love bering yachts! I have thought about trying to purchase a bering 75. I think they are probably one of the safest yachts built today. The only downside for me is most of thier yachts maximum speed is around 10 knots!. So if you need to get a movie on that ability isn't there! I do prefer displacement speeds but I Also like the ability to get somewhere quicker. Especially if a storm arises !
With the 75. I see no need to get anywhere fast. Especially if you plan with weather in mind. Also depends on where you're cruising. Avoid the months with hurricane weather. One last note. if you're in a yacht that goes up to 15-20knots your range is probably around 700-1200nm at best. Look at the absolute Navetta 75 with efficient IPS 1350. You Aren't going far from the coast with that range. Definitely not doing trans-Atlantic travel.
