Berlingo Camper - First Trip Chapel Motorhomes Conversion 

Hope you get one. The adventure possibilities are endless. We often have to speak to each other in a sort of sign language, because Blue has such an extensive vocabulary!! 😁🐕🚙

@@the-other-windsors Yes, I love the "multispace" in the Berlingo, but then I'd go for the diesel too, but here in NL driving a diesel only pays off if you drive a huge amount of miles due to very high road tax on top of the diesel prices being high themselves. So we stick to the Forester plus air awning or just an awning. Works well for us two now.

So sorry for the late response. The system didn't flag up your new response. Can see your problem with the diesel. It costs enough here in the UK too and is often several pence per litre more than petrol currently 1.51gbp per litre 😐🐕🚙

@@the-other-windsors No problem 🤗. IN NL road tax, which is high already for petrol cars, 83 euros, will double up to 170 euros when it is a diesel. Diesel is 1.9 euros a Liter. Premium petrol is 2.34 euros. It would almost make sense to get a mark I for about 3000 euros with the 109 hp petrol and have it along the other car. And still break even 😂. I've seen these cars reach a million miles with the first engine. So lovely. We'll see.

Thanks Geraldine. We used to have a trailer tent too, many years ago now and enjoyed going away with it. Our son had a special bed tent that went under one of the pull out wings. Couldn't get him up in the mornings, loved it. I'm very lucky with my hair, it's naturally curly. Just wet each morning and that's it as far as styling goes. Great for touring.

Welcome Sue and thanks so much for subscriping. Would love to k ow what your conversion is like. We started off with an Amdro Boot jump, but wanted to be able to cook inside. British weather and Scottish midge don't go too well with cooking outside and we do want to be able to tour and pull up without getting everything out in the open. Our first trip away has proved this to be possible with this Chapel Conversion.

@@the-other-windsors Hi Tina Bernie and Blue, like you i started with a boot jump, but it just didn’t work for me. I now have behind passenger seat full length sofa that folds out to make wider bed, behind drivers seat full length kitchen unit with built in compressor fridge and lots of storage under sofa and in kitchen unit too. Portable stove on top as i like to cook out in my air awning too. If your on fb on the micro camper group as i am i can send pics. I need space to get into boot for mums folding mobility scooter. It fits lovely where feet go between sofa and kitchen unit xx

Hi Sue. Yes, we are on the micro camper and friend Facebook group and min campers too. It would be lovely to see pictures of your setup. Sounds great. A built in fridge would be a bonus for us. We do have a compressor fridge, but it has to live in the foot well behind the drivers seat.

No worries. You can have it professionalky installed by the maker's or get it delivered in kit form. We had it delivered then Bernie fitted it. All in all including the window cupboards it was just under 2,000 British pounds. It's a shame you can't get it in Sweden, we've found it immensely practical.

HI. We've done several long tours now and manage very well. Considering we're knocking on and Blue takes up space too. You learn to be very organised and everything you take with you has to earn its space. If its not used, its removed and above all, remember you're all in it together. Guess being married for almost 48 years, we both know when to speak and when not to lol 🙂🐕🚙

@@the-other-windsors We used to have a campervan years ago and sold it and then we hired one last year and did the NC500 and that was huge and wasn’t set out right for us, we didn’t like the layout, but did like the thought of maybe getting another campervan but not a massive one. We came across your channel when we was searching Shetland as we are going in a few weeks for ten days. I said to my husband I didn’t know how you managed it in such a tiny vehicle but I suppose like you said its about being organised. We are both in our 50’s and 60’s and we have a Citroen belingo car years ago and just couldn’t imagine it being turned into a camper somehow but now ive seen yours perhaps I should give it a bash and get a small camper. I did hear you say that you enjoyed Shetland and that you wished you had longer? The weather didn’t hold good for you did it when you was there so I suppose its about being prepared for all weathers? Ive got tons planned whilst we are there but we have enjoyed watching your videos? Did you enjoy Orkney aswell as we have done that twice before?

@@hotlockshairextensions9436 Envious about your trip to Shetland. WE LOVED IT! and are sure you will too. Being small we slotted into many amazing spots. You get used to the space and we have to say that the front passenger swivel seat has made a huge difference to how we use the limited space available...which as you say..isn't a lot. We've been to Orkney before too, but only stayed 3 nights then. So we thought we'd stay longer this time, but to be honest...we didn't feel the same exhilaration as we did on Shetland. Dont want to do Orkney a dis service but, After returning to the mainland we retraced some of our steps on the NC500 but got off the beaten track alot and enjoyed that more than Orkney.🤔🐕🚙

Sorry if this upsets you, but it's never been a problem for us and in such a small space, it's not always possible to separate the two. 😔🐕🚙
