One Berlingo Camper, two "not dead yet" humans & a dog with dementia.
Hi. We will be posting, hopefully both entertaining and educational videos of our adventures in our little Micro Camper, "Buddy Berlingo", along with some tips and changes to the way we use the van, we've made along the way and who says this van life malarky is only for the young?
Being shall we say, both of advancing years (don't you just love that term) it does take us a little longer to do things. Being in a such small space, you have to be exceptionally organised, moving objects and your bodies around to suit the task required and cramp isn't far away, but neither is laughter and we can all do with some of that. So why not come along and join us for the ride.
Really enjoyed this series, watched them all like a mini boxed set 😂 Love Scotland, been 3 times so far this year, defo going to the Outer Hebrides next year - you’ve given me some good ideas, thanks!
Before I retired I was always very early for every meeting I had to go to even though I lived further away than everyone else. Great little vid. I have now almost caught up with watching almost all of the episodes with the sound on. Even my missus is lisening to them now.
@@the-other-windsors I have always been worried about being late for meetings. I have been looking for your Campbeltown vid after the Tarbert one. I was statione at RAF Machrihanish for 3 years so Campbeltown was my 'home'. Havent found it yet?
Hello you lovely people! This weekend, we have watched all this series in one fell swoop! Utterly wonderful! This has been on our bucket list for some time, we MUST make it happen! You would love Mull. We spent a fortnight there this summer and adored the beautiful island and it's lovely residents. If you want some inspiration, we've got a few videos from our adventures. A massive subscribe from us and truly hope our paths can cross one day. We've fallen in love with all three of you somewhat. Btw, your editing skills are top notch! N&Nx
Hi. Thank you so much for your very kind comment. That's quite a viewing marathon! We are looking forward to an extended trip to Mull, after a night there back in the 70's Thanks again for choosing to join us and to subscribe and who knows, we may just cross paths one day. Take care 🙂🐕🚙
I do love to watch your vlogs, the scenery is wonderful, the music too. Thank you for taking us with you both and 🤗 to the adorable Blue 🐕 x ( uk Kent)
Lovely video .the drive through glencoe was stunning. not good for pet travel ,surely they could offer ,a bit better travel places ,for our pets on the boats x
Thanks and we agree! The setup for dogs on the newer outgoing vessel from Ullapool was better. Still in the main deck area but several dotted about. Much more comfortable and inclusive 🙂🐕🚙
It’s a lovely drive to Gkencoe always feels your in the heart of Scotland Chairlift looks fun Always sad and quiet driving home we find … Thanks for sharing
Remember the very first time we drove through, blown away and still are. Thought about the lift, but think I may have become a Jane...like on that bridge. Like you say, never ready for home🙄🐕🚙
Hi. Yes, definitely. We are insured with Directline as a caravanette ( their term, not ours) and they have been notified of all modifications, even that we have stickers on the bodywork. We agree, you can't be too careful where insurers are concerned 🙄🐕🚙
The scenery just takes your breath away doesn't it? Thank you for the upload, it was great to see the ski centre & £5 to park overnight seemed very reasonable. 👍
Hi. No to be honest. We had a mix of weather and we were slightly earlier, starting the trip mid April. Thanks, we'll do our best. Lots of ladder climbing just now.🙄🐕🚙
You should. Its an "Amazing" place! Yes, could see you both on that chair lift. You've done it before. I was afraid I'd freak out and it's a long way to go if all you want to do is get off!! 🙄🐕🚙
Really enjoyed your Scotland trip. We plan to island hop the Outer Hebrides next year in our motorhome, it'll be 7 years since our last visit. I'm sitting here feeling so envious as you're going through Glencoe, my favourite place on the planet. Having drove through it once a week in my lorry in all weathers for 12 years, I never tire of it. You mentioned not looking forward to going down the A9 (I can't blame you) Have you ever gone down the A82 past Loch Lomond, over the Erskine bridge onto the M8 which connects to the M74 and home? IMHO I find it much more pleasant even though the A9 is much improved over the years. 😉
Hi. Thanks. As for the suggestion of the journey back via Erskine Bridge, M74...I actually hate that long drag! Being in NW Cumbria, we often head up to Ardrossan, hop on the Aran, then the Kityre peninsula and head north from there, much more pleasant than a long haul motorway drive 🤔🐕🚙
@@the-other-windsors Driving up from Wales, I think my wife would have me in the divorce court if I even suggested that route😂It suits us to go the other way to visit family and meet up with friends. The motorway route doesn't bother me as I used to drive Glasgow/Lymm/Glasgow 5 nights a week for years. Piece of cake 😉
Another lovely video, thanks. A quick question- I notice that you keep lovely Blue on the lead most of the time. Would he wander off if he didn’t have his lead on? 🐶💕
Thanks. As for our Blue. He's actually often off lead. It depends on where we are. He did freak us out once in woods when he went missing and didn't answer our calls. He usually very good at recall..unless, he's found something more interesting. Then he goes selectively death! On this occasion, we didn't fancy a bog covered dog fir the journey home 🙂🐕🚙
thank you we haven't got there this year and miss it terribly, we have always wanted to have a look at the ski centre, but as sometimes happen have never got there, so thank you for taking the trouble to film your journey
Another loverly video , done the trip from the green welly shop to lochaline ferry then fishnish for years and wondered what was up at glencoe , i think you will enjoy mull , apart from the traffic , may be go out of season would be better , look forward to your update keep them coming
Thanks. We've been to Mull a couple of times, but not for a proper trip. First went back in 1977!! Looking forward to exploring more of the island. The crossing to Iona looks way improved from a rowing boat with a large concrete block in the bottom, to stop it tipping over!!🤔🐕🚙
They let locals and cars on before Campervan and vans etc. even if you’ve booked. That’s Calmac’s policy now. Locals have priority on all routes for Calmac ferries. It’s the Islanders lifeline all year round. 🤗
Absolutely love your vlogs, such calm throughout your journeys, i have never been to Scotland mainly due to the fear of the dreaded midges, or am i over reacting?
Thank you. You're right to think seriously about midges. There can be thousands of the little blighters but, if you time your visit to early spring or Mid Autumn, you should be fine and Scotland is truly magical 🙂🐕🚙
❤ Lovely calm videos. I did the St Kilda trip. Top of the bucket list ticked off. Think MacDonalds are of original vikings. Nurse Wilma tended the last residents before they left 😊. The words Aeger, Aeger, Aeger kept running through my mind during the trip. Never heard of it before then. Turns out Aegir is the Norse god of the sea 🌊. True story! 🤗
Wow..Aeger! Thanks for watching and we're pleased you're enjoying them. St Kilda was on our bucket list too and we were truly fortunate to get there on our first attempt 🙂🐕🚙
