Angelina dusts of the classics. Does it justice too. Beautiful. Angelina Jordan ghe most predictably unpredictably brilliant artist you will ever find. Please watch the short documentary. Includes footage of her show in Vegas. Same venues as Elvis. ANGELINA JORDAN 10 YEARS IN THE MAKING.
Nice reaction! Her Grandma, Mery Zamani, helped produced this. She used the same store (Melrose Gallery in L.A.) she used for her My Funny Valentine and I Have Nothing videos. Her sister Juliette was the older girl and the 2 younger girls are her Uncle Mike's kids, Aires and Athena. 2- time Grammy winner Rob Christie is on piano once again. He is also the music director of Republic Records, the music company she is signed with. The beehive hairstyle was to honor Priscilla Presley and the time period she met Elvis. The black suit and red guitar was a classic look for Elvis from his comeback concert. What a performance and homage to The King!
The baby and very little girl are Angelina's cousins - the preteen girl is Angelina's sister Juliette and the Piano Player is Rob Christie Director of the Republic Records Los Angeles Studio which is the record label that Angelina has been signed with since she was 14 years old.
Good observation, it's a Hagström Viking - same model as Elvis used in his '68 Comeback Special (he was wearing tight black leather back then, similar to what Angelina is dressed here). The release of this cover was timed with the premiere of the Elvis biopic. Angelina had the honor of attending a private screening along with Pricilla (Angelina's beehive hairstyle refers to her).
Angelina 😇 sings this Elvis 🎸🕺song in her favorite Chandelier, with the same leather outfit! Priscila Presley hairstyle💂♀️! and the red guitar 🎸 the same one that Elvis 🕺 wore in his comeback special in 1968 in the 1 hour NBC live broadcast! Angelina must have lived in the Etta James and Elvis🕺🎸 era, Billy Holliday, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston era! As an old soul✨️in another body! Later in the Amy Winehouse era! For me, Angelina is Elvina Elvis 🎸🕺Grand daughter reborn as Angelina! Angelinas soulful,💫mature, emotional, smooth, warmth, breath, powerfull, extremely raspy, old soul ✨️Voice 😲 is out of this world 🌍 She will be become a Legend 100% sure !! I love ♥️♥️♥️ it so much ! The place she singing at is the Melrose Gallery and carries both antiques and new furniture and is in the west Hollywood area of Los Angeles and this is the 3rd song she has done there.
Absolutely phenomenal performance and arrangement from this musical genius, the first two little girls in the video are Angelina’s cousins her manager uncle Mike children, production input from Angelina’s grandmother Mery Zamani who is a talented artist and poet, pianist is two times Grammy award winner Rob Christie the musical director of republic records, Angelina is paying tribute to Elvis with her black outfit and her Red guitar 🎸 and Pricilla Presley hair style, Cover of a Cover as the original artist Mark James who wrote and recorded Suspicious Minds didn’t achieve with his original, then Elvis Covered the song and it was a hit! Great reaction thanks 🙏
Dreamy. Owner of the antique shop is said to be family friends. They have used this setting for two other songs. You should check those out as well. My funny valentine… and I have nothing.😊
She was 18 yrs old on the 10th of Jan, 24. Power & Pure Velvet Perfection! This vocal arrangement was all Angelina, I have no doubt in collaboration with a stellar team including Rob Christie, on the piano & Mery Zamani her Grandmother. She is a Master Storyteller. The video is shot in the same Antique Store that she did 'My Funny Valentine' on Valentine’s Day. I believe it is in LA near her home. I believe the girls in the video represent Angelina's Journey from infancy to present through the classics of music history. Thus the Antique store, She grew up studying and performing these classics. Did you notice that right foot raise it''s heal to cradle the guitar a couple of times in the performance. I was waiting for her to throw in a little shake to it in homage to the King. Could that have been intentional? That is Rob Christie on piano. Si ster Juliette and a couple of Uncle Michael's Babies. I think that makes them cousins not nieces. Full Black Leather Bodysuit, the guitar from his concert in 68 and the hair a homage to Priscilla Presley. Yeah! She can bring tears to your eyes. I base my interpretation on my knowledge of Angelina's journey from an 18 month old little girl singing a "classic" of music history 'I Will Always Love You' . She has been listening to these classics on repeat on YOUTube since then under the guidance and inspiration of her Grandmother Mery Zamani. She has been performing these classics since her first time in studio at 6 yrs old.. She has continued this journey through her 1st introduction to the world with her "Classic'" 'Gloomy Sunday’ and following with her many performances at her many Jazz Festivals, TV performances, Concerts, and charity events, studio recordings and practice sessions at home accompanied or not. The location in the Antique store represents these classics (like the furniture) of another era. To me she portrays wonder at all these classics surrounding her. as she has travelled this road. Her tribute to Elvis is at her present age, today, each stage represented by her cousins and sister and ending with Angelina herself on the couch still admiring all this history surrounding her. The beautiful rendition of the song, and other tributes are in the leather outfit, Guitar and hair a tribute to Priscilla. Just my interpretation but it makes the most sense to me. ♥👣👸🏻 Angelina fits both of those worlds you talked about. She has a vast vocal toolbox and uses it like a musical instrument and she is a virtuoso at using it. She is a master vocalist & storyteller and always has been since she was 7 or 8 yrs old. She has been working hard on her craft and after waiting to finish High School this summer and dropping her 1st Album with Republic Records about the same time She is about to be unleashed upon the Music Industry & the world and they have no idea what is coming. Here's a reminder of some of her background. Angelina won Norway's Got Talent when she was 8 yrs old after starting the competition at 7 yrs old. The youngest winner of any Got Talent show on the planet. She had to wait two years because you had to be 7 yrs old to enter. She started with a rendition of Billie Holiday's 'Gloomy Sunday' which she just infused with Billie's soul. She followed this by another Billie classic with a pitch perfect rendition of 'I'm a Fool to Want You' acapella. Her next performance was a beautiful rendition of 'Bang, Bang' by Sonny & Cher and performed most famously by Nancy Sinatra. She won the competition with what I consider her first Masterpiece performance of 'Summertime' by George Gershwin. Shortly after winning she was designated a National Treasure by the Norwegian people. There is video of Angelina recorded by her mother Sarah Astar singing a couple of lines of "I Will Always Love You' by Whitney Houston when she was 18 months old. She started studying all the greats of Jazz soon after under the guidance of her Iranian Grandmother Mery Zamani a child prodigy in her own right as an artist and poet. English is Angelina's 3rd language behind Norwegian and Farsi along with Japanese and some German and perhaps more. She did this from 2 & 3 yrs old by scrolling thru RU-vid of all their most Iconic performance. Angelina doesn't just mimic these greats, she reinterprets them and then simply sings them the way they were meant to be sung. She makes them her own.♥👣👸🏻
Thanks for reaction. I highly recommend, listening to the songs you have reacted to again, when you don't have any distractions. The more I listen to each performance by Angelina, the better it gets. I know reactors don't have much time for listening to music, outside of making videos, but I believe you will appreciate her music much more.
