Kite needed more tail. Before heading into the house, I wrapped the nylon line around the fence rail(hardly tied and not into a knot) just to keep the kite from blowing away. As I was in the house getting more tail and keeping an eye on the kite at the same time (just in case), I saw it flying on it's own. May have been a blessing in disguise not tying it tightly. Had I done so, perhaps the the string would have sliced completely through the pvc fence and taken the camera and tripod with it. Can hear the kite snap at the 58 sec mark.
