The Bern trams first opened in 1890. It isn't the oldest system in the world but still has lots of history. The first trams actually ran on steam. The system wasn't electrified until 11 years later when we can really start to see a real tram system develop. As of today there are 4 different types of trams running in the system. The BE 4/10, 4/8, 4/6, and 6/8. It consists of 5 lines numbered 3, 6, 7, 8, 9. I was in Bern for a short period of time so I wasn't able to film the most diverse videos but I hope you like my video anyway :)
