I am so upset and devastated I am a huge fan of Bernard cribbins I cannot believe Bernard cribbins has passed away he was a huge part of my childhood and growing up he was the same age as my late mum

My favourite of the parental Doctor Who characters. I can’t believe it. #RIPWilf. I also already lost my grandfather, who was also in his 90’s, this year. What a terrible year, for me, so far.

He was a true legend. One of the greatest actors in Doctor Who and british TV. The fact he still decided to play Wilfred in the 60th anniversary only a few months ago shows how much he loved the show and was determined as a person. What a man and what a beautiful tribute. Thank you.

One of the most devastating pieces of news I woke up to this morning. This has utterly shattered my heart and left me feeling incredibly sad. Such an incredible man and a true legend - one who will be missed massively. Watched some of his best Doctor Who episodes today to pay tribute to him and honour him. I always dreaded this day as Wilf was always one of my favourites, and I can't believe it's become a reality. Truly devastated. I will never be able to watch one of his amazing scenes the same again - too many tears :(

Out of all the actors in Doctor Who, he’s easily the one who got me most excited to see in the cast list. He just brought a familial warmth that even The Doctor, scarred by loss, couldn’t resist. The grandad of Doctor Who.

Fantastic tribute, would if been nice to of seen something of him from the dalek invasion of earth film from the 1960's. He did physical comedy so well in his younger days, the time he pretended to be a Roboman was brilliant. Rip

I am so saddened to hear this! I remember Jackanory for me was the first, then the film Dr.Who and all the other shows he was involved in! it is sad to have lost him R.I.P and thank you for the fun you gave me! Sigh! in 2019, my mum died aged 95! For him it is a looss of a legend! Sigh!
