I really couldnt care less about all the Essex Boys Carlton Leach nonsense but the rest of the Pod is literally a history lesson in the more grisly sides of British history. The story about the young girl chilled me to the bone. What a life Bernard has lived 😮 Terry Stone pure class as usual mate.😊👌🏾

People might knock Carlton Leach's book but the paperback pages are ideal for when you're out of loo roll.

I've never liked the look of Carlton Leach, something has never sat right with me, now after watching this great podcast I'm glad my gut instinct was right

I've seen and heard a lot about Charlton leach over the years since rise of the foot soldier was released. I think he knew tony tucker, was jealous of the friendship between craid rolf and tucker. He was on the outskirts of the Essex boys 3 but seemed to want to inject himself to the inner circle. Even the film shows that when Pat tate is released, it becomes less of carlton leaches story and more about the Romford murders. It's his 5 minutes of fame with a small connection with a major crime.

Respect to you Bernard, at least you got the balls to appear and say your piece to the Podfather. Your podcasts are just getting better Terry, big thanks from Yogi.

Lot of people on here saying "why all the hate for Bernie", Tone. Truth is you've all spent years promoting and making a movie hero out of Leach. Naturally a lot of Internet nuggets want to believe it's true. So when Bernard has a fall out with Leach he incurs the wrath of the nuggets. Despite who you chose to believe or who tells the most exciting story Bernard does tend to present his version in a far more believable account with a level of research involved. Leach claims to have shagged every barmaid he ever met and let the Turkish mafia off with a warning coz his mate Tucker told him it's not worth the agg. I've met Leach at VIP areas of Boxing events, I've also met that Dave Courtney character too at unlicensed events. There are genuinely a lot of low intelligence people out there who look up to such characters. And want to have their photos took with them and want to believe their stories are true. Neither Leach or Courtney are the sort of guys to not let the truth gey in the way of a good story. When Bernard pops up with dates, newspaper articles and facts it tends to piss on Leach's parade, so no wonder he gets upset. Courtney's cronies now claim that he made you a success Tone by giving you a leg up and then you turned your back on him. Truth is you don't get successful from a leg up, it takes years of consistent hard work with a good dose of acumen. If turning your back means getting bored of hearing the same 12 fake gangster stories and cracking on with your life then you are probably guilty as charged Tone.

There’s a lot of bad press given to Bernard but from the two podcasts I have seen of him, I can’t help but like the bloke.

Fascinating. I could sit and have a chat with Bernie for hours and hours.

Bernard is clearly an intelligent fella, always comes across as knowledgeable, not sure why he gets the stick he does online. A hard listen at times with the serial killer stuff, i live a couple of miles down the road from where the ripper lived and it proves evil does exist. Looking forward to the next series Tel.

Terry if you have time let Bernie know fair play for catching these sick scumbags. This podcast was a good one, shows the other side of the coin. Bernie’s been vilified by many but going from what I’ve seen of him he seems like an ok guy. I think a lot of it is everyone wants to cash in on the story and it creates jealousy.

Bernard is a top bloke I have a lot of respect for him, he's been involved in some great documentaries. He comes across as a really clued up bloke, why would he lie? I think what hes saying about Carlton Leach is true, insulting his dead wife is low!

Great podcast again Terry. Bernard comes across as as honest and genuine. I don't believe everything that has been said about him. I think its rumours started by people he's upset and repeated as gospel by others who know absolutely nothing about him .

This is a superb podcast, this episode was great. The letter writing to child killers? he should be knighted for that, the mental torment for the families connected and this gives closure plus admission of guilt which saves so many issues. The whole Essex boys thing is interesting but anyone who is from that area knows that only one person runs things in Canning Town, he's very quiet and if anyone makes too much noise he has one way of stopping that noise, that's what happened to Tucker and Co, who pulled the trigger? who knows, who cares. Definitely saw Bernard in a different light after today and hope he can live his old age out in peace. Keep the content coming Terry.

I used to live about a two minutes drive away from where the Yorkshire Ripper victims was found in Huddersfield. I watched a program on ITV. Just a shame South Yorkshire did more then West Yorkshire did. He was in Sheffield or Bansley i think and was outside a house and a officer stopped him and saw his car was on illegal plates and took him in.

I’ve been reading and watching Bernie since the dawn of day. Thought that any normal man liked him? Men who don’t, I wouldn’t trust. Same with Dave Courtney? Another proper, proper man. (Couldn’t resist that one, Terry..) but seriously, Dave was also like Bernie. Always composed and not a corrupter of power. he’s put a lot of things straight on this podcast. I always questioned Bernie’s association with nonses, but never doubted him cause he’s always came across so well. Good luck to him. . Bernie and Daren Gee on each side of you on a long haul flight? ✈️ there’s a proper horror story. 😂
