Here are all the business that shut down in the last two years in my neighborhood in OC California.. Red Lobster, Boston Market, Soup Plantation, El Torito, Togos, Baha Fresh, Subway, Walgreens, Big 5, Sport Chalet, local brewery, 99 cent store, Lumber Liquidators, two entire malls, dozens of small mom and pop service and furniture stores. Yet Biden tells me the economy is the best it's ever been. "We did it Joe". Nobody goes to malls anymore becuase you become a target of the protected classes crime. Yeah, the problem with driving is you can't park your car anywhere. The city actually posts signs saying not to leave anything visible in your car (to minimize breakins). I saw the story of the small business selling cigarettes in San Francisco that has been broken into 4 times and now his insurance has been dropped because of the risk. To make things worse the city sent him a warning that he has 90 days to fix the damage or fines will result. He basically said one more break in and he will be forced to close down and move out!

Things like an effective police force (so your customers aren't afraid to come), a DA that actually prosecutes crime instead of actively promoting it (so criminals are afraid to commit crimes), a governor that doesn't actively create and import homeless and drug addicts (so the streets are safe and clean). And yes, I know it's a big, complicated issue we can't solve here.

The first time I saw Kevin O'Leary on TV, I thought, what an "arrogant jerk" - After seeing him and following him for the past 4 years, it is clear I was wrong. This guy simply gets it. I would be honored to work for one of his companies. (I worked for a Warren Buffet company for 17 years, and saw first hand how in-experienced mid-level management and above are selected and hired, based purely on a pedigree, without regard to work or life experience.) Kevin invests in people with passion more than a business. He will buy a business with a minimal cash flow and return outlook, if he believes in the people that founded it, and will pass on a business with adequate ROI if he feels they are there as a job and for income only. Good on him.

The problem is businesses expect the people to work for slave wages. They claim that fast food places and stores like Walmart are just stepping stones for teens to eventually get a better job. The problem is, there are not enough better jobs; we sent them all to Asia for cheap labor. In California the cheapest apartment is $3000 a month, but a worker is supposed to live on $10.00 an hour, which equates to about $1,600 a month. Even at $20.00 you can't afford an apartment.

Yes, SF is a wasteland-doom-loop. Ironically the people that run SF,,the city employees - are being paid astronomical amount of money to run the city into the ground. Almost every city employee now in SF is a DEI hire, it's not usual for these city employees to make 300K, or 400K - yet their work just stinks . Most are no longer required to go to an office, they work out of their homes, but no work is being done - nobody to watch and see if they are actually working, earning their 300K. Corruption is the order of the day, every day, in doom loop SF. Former. SF Mayor, Gavin Newsom, now Governor won't live in SF, he's afraid to live in SF because it's not safe for his wife and kids. He now lives in toney Marin County, a community that is 98% white. Newson, one of the foremost advocates of diversity and DEI hiring in the USA, , won't live in a diverse community! He prefers living in an all white community!

I live in a small town in northern California along the ocean and definitely plenty of homeless. The government has refurbished rundown motels and fix them up very nice to put the immigrants in. While the homeless FROM the area continue to be homeless.😮 I do NOT walk anymore in the area. I had a Spanish man come to my front door around 7:00 in the evening a week ago asking to use my phone because his was locked in his car with his keys. I said No... And No I did NOT open my door. I spoke to him from the top of the stairs. 🫤 And shortly after he was there I turned my alarm on even though I usually don't turn it on until later in the evening.
