this was the first work by baz i heard, more than 15 years ago, long after his death. life hasn't been the same since.

Have loved this piece for years. Makes me think of Sibelius' observation about composers starting symphonies with a band and then "...having nowhere to go."

He killed himself the year I was born. Eduard Hanslick said of the 2 piano reduction of the Brahms first piano concerto that it sounded like two very intelligent people arguing with each other. In this case it's Bartok and Berg?
