Covering his own song, his biggest hit that he had when he was with the 80s band, Whitesnake. Shot aboard the Norwegian Pearl during Joe Bonamassa's "Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea Mediterranean" cruise. August 2019.
One of the first guitarists i saw live, with Whitesnake around 1980...the guy was a master . And one of the reasons i love rock music. Thanks Bernie...Always Rocking !!! ❤️
Fantastic. What a player and what a gent. Makes me smile that Bernie is playing a 59 Les Paul and the bassist is playing a multi scale modern monster. It's all music after all.
Oh man, how have I not seen this before? This is, hands down, without a doubt, my favorite version of this song! ❤️ I never had the pleasure of meeting Bernie, but I have a couple of friends who were fortunate enough to be friends with him and the common sentiment they shared most was what a kind, sweet, generous man he was. Rest peacefully, Bernie. 🙏🏻❤️
Bernie marsden was such an underrated vocalist just like his good buddy from New York Warren haynes. I guess that just one of a few thing's thay had in common apart from being great guitarists. Thank you sir for the music .RIP
I was fortunate enough to meet, shake hands and have an album signed by this Gentleman, lovely kind bloke great songwriter and also great singing voice , as this clip proves . RIP Bernie 🎸🎸🎸🎸
Bernie, you don't know me....but I followed you through all the years, and you always gave me thrills. Cheers and meet you on the other side! Thanks for all these great moments.....
I wasn't expecting that voice when I realized he was going to sing. I knew of his guitar playing, the better songwriter of Whitesnake songs, he's got a great soulful and melodic vocal.
Bernie was a great guy and player. He went from big hair rock star to English gentlemen. I saw an interview with him a few years ago and he was incredibly gracious and pleasant.
Had a Guiness with the legend after his show The Snakes, Denmark 1998. He made it clear that he was doing FINE with the money!!!!!! What a privilige for me !!!
