I have had mine since U graduation in 1975. Love it. Bought an exact replica at a yard sale for $250 for my cabin so I can add always have it available. I love it!
I call that “An embarrassment of riches”. It’s great to have one of the best sewing machines ever made, and a spare. Well done. Thanks for watching and adding a great comment to the discussion.😎👍
@@yeahboi7864 that’s a magnificent score. If it has the instruction book, power cord and control, accessories and carry case, it’s worth at least $750. 😎👍🏼
My Oma was a seamstress/designer , and left this to me after she passed. It was a long battle with Alzheimer’s, so I wish I could’ve learned more from her on how to use it. I know she loved it, it was her passion in life. I was too young to understand most of what she was doing when she could still sew; but I hope to be able to make up for the time missed and to keep her memory alive by learning all I can about it! Came across your video while doing research. Any tips on the right machinery oil/lubricant to use? Would wd40 work fine? I found an old oil bottle in her work station, but it was empty with no label on it.
WD-40 will work, but sewing machine oil is best. It’s highly refined mineral oil and it is clear and thin like water. You can get it at Walmart, Joanne fabrics, or online. Try to get an extended spout oiler so you can control and direct the application of the oil.👍😎
Another good source for used machines is the Habitat for Humanity Restores. The branch in my town sells sewing machines in cabinets as “tables”. They are usually less than $30.
Scooooore!!!! That’s a $500 machine at minimum. If you got the book and accessories, more like $750. You made my day. The awesome machines are out there, but they won’t come knocking on your door. You have to go find them. You. Are. The. Winner. 👍🏼😎
@@randyyoursewingmachineman9954 I got the book, Bernina dust cover and nine feet with my $14.99 machine! She sews beautifully, but I'm taking her in for a good cleaning and oiling of her innards. I figure she will outlast me with a little tlc.
