I believe the new style feet started with the a series. I believe this is also when the needle threader was introduced and they needed to create a bit of space between the presse foot shaft and stitch hole
Very interesting and helpful, thank you. I have an Artista 180 and a recently acquired 708. Of course they take very different feet but I was curious about what happened in between, your video has helped a lot with this.
Jeremy, thanks for info, ‘old, old-old’ feet type. Consider doing one on ‘leather feet. Question, which foot for vintage 730, 830, & 930? For your cracked cubicle try 2 or 3 oranges a day a week, worked for me. via My ‘Dr Mom.’ Jealous of your 950.
Thanks, this cleared up a lot of misconceptions I had. One thing interesting is that the 1230 has a butthole foot with "Optics" but maybe that's the only feature the 1230 does using the optic eye it has.
I’m a rookie. Thank you for making this video. I was very disappointed that I could not use the #57 foot, that my sister gave to me, on my 930 machine. After watching your video I can see now that the #57 foot is a new one because the back is flat with a notch in it. I want a 1/4” foot for my #930 Electronic Bernina Record. Where do I find one and will it still be a #57? Thank you!
I have a Bernina 1000 Special. Question is there a throat plate available for a single hole. Mine came with a wide hole for zig zag. If so is there. Part number to ask for.
