Yeah it's such an amazing car! To answer your question, no the car is definitely naturally-aspirated. The whine you hear it's probably from the gearbox. These old Lotus race cars usually mount a Ford 2000e 4-speed manual which has straight-cut gears and sounds like sequential ones
