Bernina Jeff how to make Singer Featherweight 221 box case look like new I love featherweights. If the case smells old put three Bounce drier sheets inside and leave them in. Bernina-Jeff.myShopify.Com 970-256-1293
I still have my featherweight bought for me for my fourteenth birthday in 1957. It has inhabited many attics after I bought a swing needle in the 70s. The case is pristine. The best thing about the case is the way it kept the contents beautifully protected. I kept my 222k because my mother struggled to pay for it and the trade in offered was derisory.
I just recently grabbed a first production run 221 -1 from a pawn shop window, sun burned paint so bad , i saved it to restore being a early 221 school bell ......no case but im ok with that....ill be doing a restoration video in the future , nice to see others saving these awesome machines too .....
My stepdad gave me his mothers. The machine was in pristine condition. The box has a little bit of wear and tear. I can't wait to polish up the box and show him what it looks like looking brand new. I'm sure he'll really appreciate that.
My box is identical to this one on the outside. Insides are good. Smell is not bad and no visible mold. I’ll set an open container with baking soda inside for a bit. Should help. Thank you for this!
I did the shoe polish to my featherweight case years ago. I also had to use foot powder on a dry wash cloth set inside to remove the musty odors. A world of difference. Thank you for all your videos.
Thanks for this video! I live in Canada and Canadian Tire carries this brand of polish, including in a kit, at a very good price! You mentioned something about dental tools, a similar tool(s) is available for crafting, Cricut is one brand that makes them. They call them weeding tools. I used mine and they work great.
My featherweight case looks worse than this. The corner has been chewed, black covering loose all over. Very much want to pretty mine up. Thankful to have fpund your channel.
I'm looking forward to giving my featherweight case some much needed care, but I cannot seem to find the exact same shoe cream you have on Amazon. Great video - thank you!!
