@@shannonofpa7499 good morning - I do have a question though....once I update my Q24 to the newest version - some of my settings disappeared.....one setting I can not figure out how to set it is - when I put my needle up and down I would like my presser foot to lift.....any idea where to find this setting without having to manual do it?
@@sharonfisher4495 You are correct Sharon, the update did bring our handlebar buttons back to default and you may recall in the video that I had to reset my Laser (turn it on and set it to A - automatic). The knot function for the handlebar will cause the needle to go up and down and bring up the presser foot. Otherwise, my understanding is that the needle up/down and the presser foot lift are two separate functions that you can put on the handlebar buttons as you see fit. On the sewing screen you will see the four currently programmed buttons. You would select on the screen the button you with to reassign the function to. That will open up a screen with the available choices e.g. knot function. Hope I understood your question correctly.
I use an Intelliquilter but an getting qmatic for home. In IQ, when you put the crosshairs on a line in the pattern, it has an arrow showing which direction it will sew. I wish Bernina would look at that feature.
Hi Pamela, Yes every system has its "perks". With Q-matic you can position the sew-head on a quilted line and choose "start at nearest point" and then "no sewing". You can then see which direction the head will move and go from there. I do like the idea of the directional arrow that Intelliquilter offers. Let Bernina know via a support ticket for future feature request.
Yes, I believe you are correct i.e. when you move the sewed, the new cross hair moves which gives you more points of reference for more accurate placement. That is a nice new feature.
Hi Sue, I believe you are correct. In the snap to point function there is the new alignment line that helps align to various things on the Y axis when advancing the quilt. The line moves with the sew head.
