Doesn't matter how good it is.... It still says Berny. The only Berny I bought was the little titanium number, and it's excellent... And crucially it has the logo instead of the Berny script.
I feel we are living through the Oysterquartz revival era. After the Tissot PRX, it seems like every other watch looks like an Oysterquartz. I'm not complaining, I've always loved the Oysterquartz look, and I'm wearing a PRX right now. I do wish this Berny watch was using a nice quartz movement, though. Something more in keeping with the Oysterquartz. And I couldn't pull it off anyway, that lug to lug looks huge! 😊 Overall though, I like the look of this watch. And the bezel changing is a slick idea!
I have the celebration dial version of this watch. I like it a lot. Mine is +4 seconds fast per day out of the box. I paid $116 USD for mine. I have a fairly small wrist so I wear it very snug and am able to pull it off nicely.
Like you said. It’s hit or miss with Berny. Are you going to get their new original (AM053VM) in for review? It looks pretty interesting. I still love their Santos Homage and their Railway Homage. Thanks for the great review.
Yeah, let's twist again, twistin' time is here…...🎵 There Steve, did my pun too! 😜 PS Would look lovely on my wrist, flying both sides like a Galactica spaceship!
I seen what you did there 😊. Yeah I agree totally with you with everything. Since it has great lume I wouldn't complain about the induces buckets being over full of bgw9. Great under the radar wear. As for the wide lug I'll bring out the file or tig it. Something about a white clean dial with nice induces. Hands have to be replaced with 3d thicker hands. Touch of brushing to match induces. Not big/wide like seikos turtle. Great shots.
Great review, I was tempted by this one, I don't mind Berny on the dial for some reason, but glad I didn't buy, the lug to lug looks a little too large and no half links is always a deal breaker.
Now if this had a VH31 movement, thinner case (preferably less than 10mm) and the Berny logo rather than the name then the watch would be a must-have. I have always wanted an oysterquartz....
I've been eyeing that one...i really hoped it was a touch bigger...36mm and a dress watch means I'll get no personal use out of it past the review....I'll reach out to them and see what they say.
