Yes ofcourse! The whole soundtrack for the anime is basically stuff Shiro Sagisu did for the movies adapted for the anime version, with more metal added lol, it doesn't fit at all for the lyrics except for blood and guts which is just about Guts, but then again, it's a pretty badass ost so I'm glad they reused it for the anime haha

@MadLane If with 2-D, I can only picture Ufotable or Madhouse doing it justice. Complete with those impactful fist-shots into enemy knights, courtesy of Guts. If they have to stick with 3D, they have to get Digital Frontier (the guys who did the kick-ass Gantz: O movie) to do the animations. If they have to pick a starting point for any novices to get into Berserk, I'd say start in the Eclipse Event and then work to the Conviction Arc. Then the following arcs after, I can only imagine how the fight with Ganishka will be.

I read Attack on Titan first and for a long time, really thought it was eeriely dark and sadistic. Then I read Berserk for the first time. Hot damn, I *thought* I knew the meaning of "dark and sadistic" before. Berserk is f*cking brutal, disturbing, and sinister....
I can see the appeal for that, since there a royal fucking pain to fight especially for me ( I always whent full hexer or full bandit). but I think there song works just right when you understand the lore behind them.
I'm so glad Berserk 2016 happened. Maybe it was a big fail when it comes to CGI, but HOLY SHIT, these people really tried, they created some absolutely BADASS music that fits Berserk lore perfectly for this. Also, at least we have plenty of good memes and laugh because of that show. For me, it wasn't that bad, I understand the memes and I can clearly see that animation is beyond flawed, but it's still Berserk, the plot was brilliant, the music was gold, and the characters and the voices were all well made. I really did enjoyed the show and now I enjoy all of it's legacy, both it's strong, climatic sides like the plot and music and the flaws turned into funny memes. Thanks for the Berserk 2016 guys! GOOD JOB! :D
The CGI wasn't that bad it could have used more detail and it would have been fine, the main problem was the sterile cinematography and that the music was on point half of the time, terrible directing can bring down even the greatest source material.

I think if it wasn't so god awfully loud it wouldn't be bad. It literally takes over the other sounds xD I'm in the small percentage that doesn't mind the clang. As you said it's a giant piece of metal what else is it supposed to sound like?

These are masterpieces, please make a new and better Anime and use the music from Berserk 2016 so they don’t go to waist!!! I know this won’t happen, that’s why I’m so mad!!!

I think theres some sort of deeper meaning to this song, possibly referencing to the Skull knight or the beast in the armor reaching out to guts everytime he uses it. Really deep.
Soma Arikado This song is used when fighting Guts in Freak Fortress 2, a custom gamemode for tf2 that has up to 31 players face off against a superpowered boss, and Guts was recently added to the roster.

The first season wasn't bad(drama and didn't add up at the end with the whole main character invulnerability/Godlike shonen willpower is everything deal), but then I couldn't make it to the 2nd/3rd. It just seemed to grind episodes into blah. Gave it a 2ND chance with season 3 (had some highlights) but it then went back to the grindstone and I couldn't finish it. I have seen a lot of anime.
Cosmico Andromeda I thought the same but after actually watching it, I thought "meh it's bearable" but prefer the manga with Berserk. Other things i could watch. Anime and the games just don't do berserk justice.
It was both of these things, and then some. Awful directing, shitty camera angles, atrocious CGI, blatant disregard for the plot, and the list goes on. The only things they didn't fuck up were the music and the voice actors.
I miss the creepy unsettling yet relaxing themes and fighting music. But this badass shit is still pretty awesome. I just wish there was more scary. Maybe a remix of Guts' theme but with no electrics or heavy drum beats. Just like the original but the beat changed or something.

We don't have those sit down and reflect moments to really understand what he's going through to really understand him more than that. So this music will fit just because the context isn't there anymore.

Bruh, that is the exact weapon I use as my weapon of choice (I would say down to the infusion but why in gods name would you not have heavy on that) I feel like guts every time I cut a boss down with it, because wi mean, it is literally the dragonslayer and the armour I wear usually is the iron dragonslayer armour (it's a very high level character so I can have both) as it looks like the berserker armour kind of

It's undeniably a terrible show.The directing is awful,the pacing is rushed,and the animation makes me want to vomit.Those lifeless character models ruin it.The only good things from the show are the OST and the story.

Well you can’t say that Berserk 2016’s soundtrack is shit. That’s for sure. Hai Yo being my favorite. Most of the rest are remixes. I’d never have gotten my brother into Berserk 1997 if it wasn’t for Forces.
Saying it is a disgrace is stupid - anime copied the manga in most scenes and was still 10 times better than most other anime. 1997 had a lot of scenes as just some pictures standing on screen for 10 seconds with playing audio on them and it looked retarded, just as almost every fight scene with that repeating sound and recycling motion through one static picture like when Guts got his final strike on Bazuso. The first pages of manga look fucking awful, at that time Miura was not able to draw humans right, it gets better with time towards the end of the golden age arc. In terms of just quality the best will always be movies - they used cgi pretty decent. And now Miura doesnt even know what the fuck to do with the plot - he draws about 6 chapters per fucking year and goes on hiatus lol.
to me the sound effect of the CLANG when something gets hit by the dragon slayer is like the feeling of when you get a hit and it makes that satisfying hit marker sound.

I'm sitting here, crying and doing some weird dance while having an ear-gasm...I can't man. I love Berserk, ever since I was a little girl and I'd sneakily read it in the library this series has been my life. A true dark tale of betrayal and bloodshed. There's no pussyfooting around, it's in your face, it will drag you to the darkest pit and will continue dragging you deeper until you can't even distinguish your own anguished screams from those around you. This song...it's like...I can't even explain it!! Those musicians sound possessed by this. One day we'll get an anime version that goes beyond the golden age and will be a masterpiece and when we do I hope they use this music.
