The legendary Bert Jansch playing Rosemary Lane, a beautiful traditional song that first appeared on his 1971 solo album of the same name. www.bertjansch....
Such a tremendously beautiful song. I've always thought it unfortunate that his vocals - though expressive and lyrically great - were always mixed much louder than his guitar, even on his records. Wish I could get my hands on those masters! Haha. Clearly the man is a better guitar player than a singer. Rosemary Lane is absolutely haunting.
Bert Jansch is a Treasure. Ironically, a gentleman from a group home (mentally challenged) where I used to be a councilor had a Bert Jansch album and I borrowed it from him. I played it out of curiosity and discovered something more. Good post. It was a rather obscure album called "The Ornament Tree." That was years ago.
