And I mean that in a good way. This was such a telling moment about OnA because Dice was on Stern beefing. Dice told Stern how Ant was a stand up comic that just never took the stage and he's just an amazing talent. Then goes to say Opie is an absolute zero and the most insecure person he's ever met. The clip is great because Opie is playing the Dice/Stern audio live on the OnA show. It's so awkward and cringy because it all goes right over the Opsters head and he proceeds to try and take up for himself, doing a bang up job as usual, forcing Ant to do it for him. It's a great clip especially if your to the point of visceral hatred for Gregg "Opie" Hughes

There's so many thousands of hours of him being funny, involved and genuine that people just seem to skip over because of the narrative put out by others that he's a shitty person. You aren't a true O&A fan, and certainly not an old school fan if you can't EVER give a nod to Opie for his efforts on the show.

I think Anthony Cumia is a lot funnier than many of the comics he is interviewed by (or the comics he interviews). Cough cough lol

But then I started rewatching old shows and he just gets worse and worse and then when you hear the behind the scenes shit that has come out from the people who worked with him and it validated the opinion I already had of him as the luckiest man in showbiz. Without Anthony he would have been nothing and it's abundantly clear. Just comedically has no instincts and would intentionally scupper any comedy from Ant and Jimmy at every turn especially towards the end of the shows life. He let professional jealousy take him over and it just left a bitter shell of a man.

I would strongly recommend listening to 2008-2012 O&A playlists. And search Weston4020 for a complete Patrice Oneal on O&A playlist for the funniest 144 episodes of radio ever

Greatest comedic genius of all time in my opinion. Ant and Jimmy are hilarious together and the regular comic guests over the years like Colin quinn and Bill Burr are great, but Patrice was something special. Never bored when he was on.
