Anthony's story of overcoming his stress condition is incredible to me, because we know he cannot stand therapy and will not go to it, and that this shit occurred before you could just google everything, but he figured out on his own how to deal with it. Ask any psychologist and they will tell you that the proper response to a panic attack is to give in. I had a similar response, but it was after finding out that the proper way to deal with it was to give in. Being that I had a pretty severe case of it, I thought that when i was reading that and hearing it from people, it was really the devil trying to force me to submit by convincing me that bowing to his power would heal me. I eventually found power over the attacks by welcoming them as a challenge. Instead of letting fear take me when I found that state to come to a head, I would stand up and tell it to show itself so we could have a proper fight, and it would subside. I got to the point that I sort of welcomed them, and when I began to feel that unrelenting force I explored it, and tried to learn from it. Ant observed something here that i think is quite important, which is that he had to learn a lesson from it. I think that anxiety disorders are becoming more common because the human mind is trying to awaken something inside these people. For Anthony It was about being in charge of his life, For me it was about being able to face what I didnt know, and for thousands of SJWs its about something they will never discover because they insist in being victims, even if they are the very people victimizing themselves.
@frusciantesplectrum7980
@frusciantesplectrum7980 6 лет назад
Bearling Completely agree. I had discovered this the very first time I had a panic attack... My body woke up and I just accepted it... Sort of enjoyed the experience as I thought I was dying. I would get sleep paralysis so I told it to bring everything it had... Used to get it every night, by the end I'd just smile at it. I'm not sure if it's my subconscious, I'm not sure if it's an evil identity that feeds off fear, but I no longer fear anything, including death...it sets you free and awakes you. You can analyse your thoughts and repair... Few people actually experience this and I see it as a blessing. It's hard to interact with most people, and these modern day victims don't even know themselves.... Never will, u less they have something so horrific it shattered an ego that has infiltrated their true self

I agree. I think what Anthony shared was really profound. I experienced that same paralyzing fear that Ant described about not being able to control your life shortly after graduating college. (only a few years ago) My response to it would be to write down what was bothering me and work hard to fix whatever was bothering me. It would have helped to have heard this during those times. I am grateful for this show and Anthony sharing his story. It always helps to know that you are never alone in what you have or are going through in life.

It makes perfect sense. For years I regularly awoke with sleep paralysis and it was pretty scary. Then I learned you can utilize it as a gateway to lucid dreaming. Later on I learned the key to waking up was focusing on moving one of your fingers. If you can get your finger to bend, you will wake up completely.

God I just can't imagine the show with just Opie and Jimmy. Anthony was the all round versatile performer of the show. Voices, quick on his feet, great timing, almost total recall of tv, movies and music spanning decades, and an ability to talk intelligently about issues of the day. While I am not an opie hater he simply isn't "the funny one" and never will be. He is more of a conductor, keeping the show on track. And even though Jimmy is funny, his humor is more to compliment the show rather than carry it. I just don't think he can sustain 4 hours a day, week after week and remain interesting on his own. I loved the show but cringe when I think about what a train wreck the O&J show could be.

@BP an ideal show would have had opie take a back seat, and sam takes opies place. Sam took criticism very well, wasnt resentful of others, and could guide discussion very well. Also he was perfect at being the straight man, which was a role opie resented. Opie worked as the angry edgy character who appeared once in a while. The issue was by the end opie was just suggesting (sometimes literal) crap and nobody wanted to tell him shitting into a bucket live wouldnt be interesting radio. And he was horribly resentful of his role, and being the least funny person on the show. He hated seeing fans tell him he ruined a segment, but he couldnt actually take that criticism. He couldnt laugh it off, he had to try and get everyone to validate him, and slowly spiraled into insanity... honestly that may be a genetic thing.
