What I always loved the most about the scene was hearing the thunderous echo of his feet hitting the ground after each hop again. It's so pronounced in the flashback and then we go the entire movie watching him believe that he's too old, too tired, too worn down to ever reach that kind of speed again. Then finally at the climatic battle when it's needed most he's able to shake that weight off and almost effortlessly reclaim his greatness with barely a moment of hesitation, all heralded by the sound his hopping again to warm up.
I can’t remember how young I was but I couldn’t believe when I finally found it as well. I couldn’t remember the name or what this movie was, only this scene haha
