Bertolf- Wintertime#1 

I really enjoy this lyric video - very nicely done. Fantastic song, too: it's very poetic, reposeful and (fittingly) melancholic but not in any defeated way. I think the line "She blinds my weary eyes/With a luring last goodbye" is wonderful. In some ways, this song calls to mind the libretto to Haydn's Oratorio, 'The Seasons' (I wrote a paper on it in college), where it introduces Winter: "Light and life dejected languish, vital heat the earth forsakes, Days of deep and sullen sadness, dismal nights, of storm, succeed." Also, beginning at 2:47 I hear the string solo taking up a similar 'motif' that also opens the Bertolf song "Wall" - very intriguing. I'm enjoying this album!
