I think Chamayou is one of the Greatest Artists in our generation!

I love his appropriate use of the pedal and solid posture uncommon to pianists of this generation. Of course, the music and the program as a whole was very well done. ❤

Que d'emotions réunies en un seul récital en particulier Franck et Saint-Saens, c'est trop beau

Je ne peux m'empêcher d'être ému comme un gosse quand j'entends ce Franck par B Chamayou, que ce soit en concert ou sur CD...

Thank you for posting this recital. Bertrand Chamayou has given us superb CDs of music by Liszt, Schubert, Ravel, Franck and Mendelssohn, as well as a recent one of Debussy chamber music. Let's hope that there's some solo Debussy piano music in his future plans. And I wouldn't mind one of Saint-Saëns's music as well! :)

Ouch! You are using this music wrong! It is usually prescribed for sublime transcendence. For a mild headache you can use something else...

Best part is how he wipes his hands across the keyboard, then across his nose in a single movement without missing a beat. Bravo! 47:03

What a great piece of art to listen to. As someone with basically no knowledge of classical music I wonder about the comments here comparing great musicians. Isn't it just about enjoying these great sounds rather than having some kind of competition?
@opustravels3659
@opustravels3659 4 года назад
Yes, I completely agree with you. I guess it's just human to try to compare whatever we can however little sense it makes.

It can be very interesting to compare these artists, a comparison doesn‘t need to elevate one above the other.

Not only that, but this type of playing (Chamayou, here) is absolutely in the style and tradition of Saint-Saens and a 'French School'.

@djmotise

The Prelude, Choral and Fugue was composed just 4 years before the Symphony. 1884 and 1888.

Marc Andre Hamelin trumps everyone @@PamelaKS
@RaineriHakkarainen
@RaineriHakkarainen 2 часа назад
Trifonov is over-rated trash! Marc Andre Hamelin is a Cyborg Human machine with colorless cold piano sound! Dimitri Bashkirov her teacher Anastasia Virsaladze teach saying to Bashkirov the most important lesson is the love of beautiful colorful piano sound! This was already in 1930s! Really Shocking! All the beautiful colorful piano sound players are gone dead like Wilhelm Kempff Emil Gilels Radu Lupu Artur Rubinstein Vladimir Ashkenazy Grigory Sokolov!
