In June of 1957. Camille devastated the Mississippi coast in August of 1969. Also, my understanding is a major hurricane isn’t determined until it becomes a Cat 3 storm.

But of course, climate change has nothing to do with this the fact that this will be the earliest major hurricane ever in the Atlantic basin. We are two months ahead of schedule almost 3 months.
