In today's episode of our London Update Series, we get the chance to go inside world renowned bespoke shirtmaker Budd. Situated in the Piccadilly Arcade in London, Budd is perhaps best known for its excellence in black and white tie apparel. Listen in as Andy Rowley explains to Kirby Allison how the lockdown has affected the types of garments being commissioned with Budd. Now pajamas and nightwear has become as prominent as dress shirts, with the lack of formal events currently.

that is the most idiotic thing i have ever heard about clothing. all i want is comfortable pyama's. the fucking end. bespoke pyama's goes to far. i bet kirby also has bespoke condoms

I’m on yours, Kirby’s and Budds side. You can look good as much or often as you like and that includes bed time. Why would you let yourself go if you can look good and wear indulgent items. The other poster here should try it sometime. As they said in the video, show some kindness

@@maxine2798 i do look good. it is not like i am wearing a trashbag for pyama's, but all i am saying is buy an high end pyama that kinda fits you. bring it to a good tailor. ajust things for you body and here you go. a budget bespoke. shoes/suits etc i understand. but pyama's not so much

I live in my Budd pj’s and dressing gowns as often as possible. I’ll occasionally sport my New and Lingwood stuff but for me, Budd is king!

Interesting. I didnt knew that people did use pyjamases anymore. Isnt it a bit warm to have clothes on when you sleep? Up here in Sweden its warm and cosy inside even if its minus 40 outside. Maybe some countries have problems with cold apartments and houses.

I know it's not quite your "area" since you've primarily done English men's wear, but Camiseria Burgos in Spain also has fantastic pajamas (and does bespoke shirts). Carmen there is relatively fluent in English and would be a great person for you to chat with.

There is nothing wrong with the safari shirt combined with a tie. If you look at some old pictures from "between the wars" Africa or from The glory days of Indian Tiger hunting, ties will be the rule rather than the exception.
