As an appliance technitian... pleas dont buy these unless you want to be looking for a new fridge in about 6 mounths. They hav water line freezing issues leaking issuesand just more especialy when you add more tech to it
@@Dirty_Bear22 GE is the only brand i buy and never had an issue. Just replaced my microwave and dishwasher for GE and they work fantastic. Ive had ge all my life and besides tear and wear stuff no dramatic or premature issues
Unlikely, every Samsung fridge I’ve ever encountered had a completely broken ice maker. To the point where I looked it up and sure enough there was a big old class action lawsuit about it. I wouldn’t put a Samsung in my house even if it was free. Honestly this thing looks like a big giant distraction from the fact they can’t actually make a working ice maker. At least you’ll be able to get cold water out of the pitcher lol. Thousand dollar brita
Yep. I just hope he keeps the receipt handy. We have one, an older model.. that leaks.. out the front.. that we must wipe with a towel once to twice a week
@@z_singh I wouldn’t know, we own Sub-Zeros that have lasted almost 20 years now, they still run btw. My sister on the other hand had a Samsung and the compressor went out at year 5. It was cheaper to buy a new fridge, just Google “Samsung linear compressor issues” several ongoing lawsuits as well.
@@dtxgmoney A year and a half. It is not quite the same as the one in this video. Mine has a set of french doors on top, and the bottom has two separate doors, each with slide out shelves. I did not want the big deep bin type freezer. A feature that I love is that the right side of the freezer can be set as a freezer or fridge space. I think that the problem some of the Samsung refrigerators had several years ago came from the ice maker being located close to the fridge compartment. This one has the ice maker in the bottom left freezer, and it makes small ice-bites, or regular cubes. I chose white glass panels for mine, and there are many other colors I can switch them for if I ever want to.
@@thekirksiffs5285 the problem with my ice maker is the seal between where the ice is made and where it's dispensed is not a good fit. Refrigerator air enters the ice maker and causes things to melt then refreeze. I like this kind because to your point it's not in the refrigerator part.
Hi.. um, I'll just be blunt. Samsung fridges are notorious for breaking easily. And a pain to manage. Not BREAK break, as in broken. But they are known to have a lot of problems. Note that the fridge we have, is an older model (that leaks), so you may not have any problems with it, truthfully. But be sure to keep the receipt handy .. just in case And congrats on the house, my guy.
Our Samsung fridge constantly fails to maintain temps. Which means food sitting in the danger zone, and the only way we noticed for a long time was when a soda wasn't as cold as it should have been. We got a fridge thermometer to notice it now, but that just means having to fix the problem for 3 months before it ends up going wrong again.
@@Rose_Butterfly98Phones got better. Last time I heard about battery issue was way back S9, I think. Home appliances though, anything with compressor, is just bad today.
Honestly it’s really cool. I’m glad a tech company didn’t just plop a huge screen on the door and sell it for 4 grand. It’s a lot like one I had a while ago, and I loved it. Enjoy the new house bro!
Samsung has a version of this fridge that has an LED display screen/touchscreen in the right side of the top door. Yes, it is close to $4000. My wife wanted us to buy one. I said “no way”
I have the same fridge. Those white panels are actually swappable, you can mix and match different colors. Mine currently has all stainless steel panels.
@@werock2785these fridges are like for someone who has 6+ family members in the house or maybe you own a shop or something, I don't see the logic of buying such a big fridge if I have 3 members in my family
In 2013/2014, we bought a brand new French door Samsung fridge. Those fridges were known for their icemaker issues; most notably, the ice maker would freeze up. There was a class action lawsuit over these issues. Now in 2024, I just bought a French door bespoke Samsung fridge, very similar to this one, and the icemaker issues have been resolved because the icemaker is in the freezer, and not in the fridge. All the OEMs now put their ice makers in the freezer. Fingers crossed, my new Samsung will work out. Plus, the design is a BOSS.
I have the model below the Bespoke. Size constraint. The bummer is that it doesn't have the seperate beverage door so I have to open the fridge door to get to the water so it wastes a little energy because of that. The other bummer part is that there is no way to turn off one of the dual ice makers. It's both or none. Would be nice if I could un case I just wanted one size of ice so I can use the empty portion of the bucket for something else. Would be nice if the shelves had more adjustment but I learned to work with it. Other than the the things I mentioned. I really like my fridge and it holds a lot. The water auto fill water pitcher is nice especially if you are filling a water bottle.
It’s kinda aesthetic but like they need neutral colors like beige to match my light titanium phone or a pink and sage colored fridge to match my house aesthetic
I see a lot of comments about Samsung being unreliable, but it's not my personal experience. My Samsung galaxy 1 (Yes one) still works. I don't use it but still have it. The one with the sliding keyboard. I have a Samsung plasma TV that i bought maybe 12 years ago. Still works great. I'm hoping my fridge will do just as good.
Researched alot of fridges last yr. Saw this one too. Best Samsung to get is the French door one, no water dispenser. It has an ice maker in freezer section. Way less exp and less prone to breaking but looks awesome. (Bought it)
I have watched this guys videos for a long time now And what i realized is that he is the best youtuber in the world at filling his videos with useless stuff like “ you guys will take a look at my house along the way” . This is a trick also used by marques brownlee too. Big respect to you
Literally my dream fridge, saw this when i went to home depot and instantly new i needed it lol. When i build my first house this will definitely be part of it
Our fridge and refrigerator are 20 years old and are going strong, no leaking or maintenance issues. This Samsung will not last 5 years. Now, I get most people don’t want to spend $10K+ on a fridge or refrigerator unit but subzero truly last a very long time.
I have the 4 door version. It connects to Samsung smart things and will let you know if you left the door open, adjust the temp, and change the filter. If you have a Samsung tv it'll pop up there too
lol so weird. A beep noise for the door open and a small light notification on the fridge when the filter is to be replaced is enough for those problems..and who is adjusting the temps when away from the fridge itself lol. Useless feature to have on your phone.
@@TheGoonSquadd the bottom sections on some variations split the freezer into a crisper section for fruits and veggies, so it's actually pretty nice to be able to adjust each section independently. Also, if you have kids, they tend to leave the fridge open. If you're not in the room you're not going to hear the alarm
