I'm a full tang fanatic. The only thing a hollow handle is good for is keeping the receipt inside because you will likely want to return the knife before long.
8:40 ... the smaller knife can be used for tying to a branch with the attached paracord to make a spear for spear fishing. The "hook" on the obverse side prevents things stuck, after stabbed, from getting away. This knife is also perfect for gutting a fish. Someone mentioned using the larger/main knife as a spear instead. Taking out the objects in the hollow portion, finding a perfect size branch to stuff in there... you could make a tight hole in the middle of the branch, then run paracord through it, and the two holes in the hilt of the knife itself for stability. Seems like a more reasonable option for spearing larger game on land. I also was thinking about using the holes where the compass are on the main knife, then using the longer paracord on the sheath to tie a knot around your wrist, so you can THROW the large knife, and if you miss, or stick a target, pull it to you, or pull it out of a target, to throw it at it again. You're going to want to get meat, and a fire. This knife, unless it breaks, will help you (unless it breaks). Some of the things I wish this thing had equipped on it, to be complete, were a ferro rod, tourniquet x2, heated tarp/blanket, and a shovel. Bonus points if the handle could use rechargeable bear mace cartridges with a safety. A shovel would be ideal, if you were stuck, unable to move for large periods of time... digging trenches to sleep in, for warmth, and/or catching larger, unsuspecting game. So that after you catch that larger animal, now you can move more confidently with more energy. And how about some kind of rudimentary water purification system? Water = Life, obviously, and the knife doesn't appear to answer the water question (at least a small tarp for catching rain water, would've been nice). It'd be impractical to add more to this compact all-in-one kit, I think. But these are some weaknesses as a single device. Perhaps more practical to have several pieces in your overall "bug out bag". But this should be fun for camping :)
I think that flippy thing that you didn't know what it was is a slingshot. I looked at the pictures of the knife on Amazon and I think that's what it might be.
Thank you for your review. I’ve been looking for an inexpensive survival knife. So many have poor reviews. It would appear to me that gizmo on the bottom that swings out and locks is a sling-shot. It just needs the strong tubing slipped over the ends and a leather cup to hold your ammo.
That knife looks a lot like the Harbor Freight survival knife. I picked one up there for about six bucks. It has stuff in the handle - doesn't come with the second knife or the sheath with a sling shot built in tho...
Yes, probably exact same Knife from same china factory. Only packaging and added goodies are different and HF knife cost only $10 ($8 with 20% coupon).
the serrated back on the blade causes more damage when used as a weapon leaves a ragged edge to wound so it is harder to sew up. The hollow handel can also take a length of branch giving you a spear.
These serrated saw backs are intended to descale fish! ;) The "thing" that pops up is a slingshot, you just have to get the rubber band / scare for it.
So that you can hook it to in a place it has a couple of different purposes one of which is that you can use that to example if you need to take out a piece of word from your fire because you want to put it in farther and it’s just not in the right place you can pull it out with that little like I said, the fork in the back is also used for holding things and for acting as a stand so that you can use it for various things that you have on Mac when you can hang it from a tree so that it’s easily missing had to reach in some cases I just said it has many uses. And I really wouldn’t mind getting a freebie knife like that
If you want a great all around knife for under 20 bucks consider a Duct knife! Milwaukee, Klenk, Midwest, ECT they are an all around rugged durable 🔪!🍻
The second last has certain nique uses one of which other in opening is also so you can take out nails with it and other things that you might want to remove it’s design and a certain way to be used for certain more difficult things. My dad taught me he’s the one who bought me my survival knife I wanna 30+ years ago when I was a teenager fat serrated edge was for cutting small branches do you know it’s so the eating chocolate certain phones it’s also so that when you want to stick that mac & cheese place it’s hard it gives it more stability supposed to buy don’t know if it’s true or not I’ve never tried that part but I have used when I call Anise Sabalenka that’s what it mounts to.
I've got a knife very similar to this, with the exact same sheath. I bought it second hand from a car boot sale over 30 years ago and it's still performing as it should. The rubber for the slingshot was already perished when I bought it so I guess it was already more than a few years old by then.
That's a stand that's what that is it's so that you can have it standing up next to you and you don't have to actually have it on you so if you're going to be say cooking or cutting something and you need it the blade next to you because who knows for whatever reason that will stand up it's just an added bonus you can use it for standing up or hanging something it's multi-purpose and no I don't expect to get your $20 survival knife although it reminds me of the one my dad got for me more than 40 years ago although the compass in the back has long since you know it's kaput it's gone it's and it was never a very good compass the blade is still good and my daughter likes it I have passed it on to her the back with all the bits like this one has I've used most of them not all of them I did add some things like you did but didn't have power cord back then. On the internet didn't exist either. So I like the look of the knife but there is no way that I could get it. But it doesn't really matter.
Take the items out of packaging, put in Ziploc bags ! You might put slingshot tubing on the two metal prongs on the sheath, wrap the the rubber tubing on the sheath, stow the saddle in the handle. I think now you might not be so surprised, the pick on the intro showed this. All good. PEACE

That survival knife is copy from . Airtor Jungle king 1 is a Spanish cuttlery label. From 80,s and 90,s. The original is discontinued today. Today only china copy. Best regards
Very informative but I wonder how these knives compare to a harbor freight 8 dollar knife as they look very similar and how is the blade fixed in the handle the harbor freight has a little set screw that strips out is this the same?
Its a slingshot, its best when you are doing a review on a knife to do more research so you don't seem clueless. But I'm not trying to be mean just stating a fact. But otherwise good video.
If you say this a good knife then your doing someone a big disservice... because if they think that you know a little about being out in the woods..and they go out and its there only knife...well it could break on them when needed the most or they can hurt themselves..with it breaking you have tell them this is not a good safe knife.. because people will believe what you say..mostly because your on you tube and act like you know something about the out doors this is a toy a dangerous toy.... if they use this knife it will break....be careful people.
Mora knives are great, and I do collect them because they are just plain awesome but they dont have the novelty of having a slingshot, a survival kit and a second knife included.
