Here is my review of the ApexCam "4K" action camera Links to gear used to film: GoPro Hero 7 Black: amzn.to/2pDQrgS Sony A6000 mirrorless camera: amzn.to/31Dj233 TYCKA Tripod: amzn.to/2MzZ84L Pop Voice Lavalier Mic: amzn.to/35VHaBu
I ordered one & quickly returned it as well, yours actually looked loads better, mine had colored blotches all over the video regardless of settings & even white static, plus the colors were way off & the internal mic didn’t work at all! Just a really cheap product, they pump it full of attractive features but with no quality control. I ordered a Akaso Brave 4, hoping for better results.
GReviewz I absolutely love my Brave 4, the internal mic picks up better & clearer then my Iphone & the video quality is top notch as well. I film everything @ 140 degree lense angle, it works out perfect as I’m often very close to what I filming, 140 is wide enough to fit in what I want & doesn’t seem to distort like 170 does. I’ve only used it in 1080p 60fps, but I often crop in my videos in editing & the footage from the Brave remains nice & clear even when greatly zoomed. It does pretty good in all light conditions although I’d say low light conditions are it’s weakness. Check out some of my recent videos, the Brave is what I use 95% of the time, I do have a cheaper “Fitfort” action camera for secondary shots, it also has a nice picture but lacks on audio. I will soon be ordering another Brave 4 plus some light boards so I can replace my Iphone completely, I also plan to use one for secondary audio when working farther from the main camera.
I guess you get what you pay for. I have not gotten the battery to charge quite yet. I am just looking around RU-vid to see what it works like. I may end up sending it back too, but wait and try it first... Thanks for the review.
Ken, yeah I wanted it to work, but the quality is pretty terrible. For an extra $100 you can get a used gopro hero 5 or something like that. It's going to be way better quality. I use a gopro hero7 black for alot of my videos, and the 4k footage that comes out of it is well worth the price. Memories in bad quality from a bad camera is worthless.
I have one of these and it came with a charging station so I don’t know why yours didn’t. Also when you did the audio recording did you have the waterproof case on?
@@J0sechap42 Audio does not work with any camera with waterproof case on that is the point of the waterproof case it covers up the microphone and the other slots so you cannot get water in it.
Great review, does the remote actually operate the camera without any other device. I dont have a smart phone and i kayak, so no wifi on the water. will remote work for me without purchasing any other device?? thanks in advance i subbed and liked ken in ca delta.....
Hey I have this camera too which video do you feel gets the best use out of it like that has best quality. Also did you change exposure and white balance or you kept everything auto?
Thanks for the review. Saw these on amazon but the quality is just a bit lower than what I wanted. I guess a high quality CAM sub $100 is too good to be true.
You couldn't be more correct... the footage isnt even usable.. a gopro is soo much better. Yes double the price.. but probably quadruple the quality and stability.
Thanks for your video. I purchased the same camera and it appears that they aren't all created equal. Mine does not have a microphone but it has a double battery dock! There is no assembly instructions and for a beginner like me, it's a royal pain. I haven't been able to open the battery compartment yet! It should be much easier to open up. My friend also tried and did it only because she has strong long nails....I HAVE TO use a 3/16 screwdriver head to open it. That's somewhat ridiculous. I haven't tried the camera yet. I hope to get decent pictures.
if I were in the market for a high quality camera in the under $100 market I would consider the akaso v50 or the thieye t5 edge. both cameras record in 4k 30fps, have electronic image stabilization and come with a bunch of accessories along with the camera. great buys!
I thought your video and camera shots were pretty good for the price of the camera. Remeber it is a cheap camera not a GoPro one.The GoPro cost Hundreds of doallars. You really did not give it a good test. I bought one and for me it was just find for a cheap action camera.Which action camera did you finally decide to get. I know it has been a while just wondered what you decided to finally to use?
