the cheapest that films in 4k that i know of is the SJCAM SJ6 Legend

unfortunately this cam works in 4k/24fms ...interpolated!But though looks good choice... Thank you although for the response!

+Chemy JMHT i use a class 10 SD card and i always format it before using any camera. Ive noticed that most action cameras with the Allwinner V3 CPU do the same

it records in 2K and those recording are interpolated to 4K. No camera under $150 records in 4k :) They are all interpolated. You charge the battery :) i imagine that i's gonna last a year or so...but even if it doesn't... it's $50 :)

yes, I mean, it has its pros and cons, but quality gets better every year for budget devices. Did you film 1h20m in 2k mode?

+Alen Majetic have you looked on Amazon lately? Plus you don't hear too many reviewers telling you about the "4K" resolution :)

Amazon for what? What's that suppose to be? Any seller can create whatever product they want. When 8K cameras are out, they will upscale this to 8K and sell it. Don't need to look reviews when you can just look at the specification for the sensor, which will tell the maximum recording resolution and bitrate. This has a SMX 179 Sony which doesn't do 4K when you look it up. I suggest titling your videos better so people that are looking for 4K camera don't waste time because it's obviously not a 4K. It's like if you had a fake Gucci bag and you wrote "Is this the best $50 Gucci bag?" Clearly misleading people when it's not a Gucci bag. Better title would be "Is this the best $50 fake 4K (2K upscale)...
