Oh man what a great list. I paused the video as soon as you said "Taika Waititi" and went and watched Reservation Dogs. Pilot is fantaaaaaaastic. Everything he does is golden.
I will put the "Reservation Dogs" on my list of must watch. This series is intriguing to me to watch people in stories and settings that are unfamiliar to me. The trailers look very entertaining.
A Murder at the End of the World was so so good and I really loved Only Murders in The Building & The Patient. I definitely want to watch The Bear and some others you mentioned. Thanks 😊
Thanks for the thorough yet personal reviews. It Really really helps. There are shows like Handmaids tale, Murder at end of the world and The Patient, that now I know I should check out yet no one had explained me what they where about😛I enjoy shows with depth and am really picky what I give my time to. Independently of ratings etc hearing your personal take on things is actually what helps me the most. I don’t care to agree or disagree just that you find the story and quality compelling.. and check if it’s gritty enough
That's exactly why I did this, I found myself sharing my opinions with friends and family not because they needed to agree but so then they know what its all about and can make there mind up if they should invest the time into it. Almost every show or movie has a group that enjoys it and I definitely do not know enough about everyone to decide what they will like so I just put out what I thought and leave the decision making up to those who watch. Glad I could help you out though :)
I know for now it’s only setup as a mini series but I’m sure if it does well enough they will figure out how to keep it going. But acting, effects and production value is top notch for sure
@@obergruppenfuhrersang-froi8203 I didn’t see an announcement but it definitely is a miniseries which is only one season but again who knows if it’s a shocking success
Shogun is great, I’m enjoying it immensely especially Senada’s acting and the actress Anna Sawaii who plays Mariko. A Murder at the end of the world was one of my favorites. I was riveted from the start especially with the characters of Darby and Bill. I loved the flashbacks and the Ai concept but more than anything Emma Corin who was mesmerizing. My favorite this year. Yup I am a fan of The Handmaids tale but it was so intense I could only watch it when I was prepared to. The Bear was a huge surprise and a hit for me. Binged it after it won the Emmy as did my family and friends. All loved it.
Thank you for the well thought out comment :) I think Anna Sawai is a good actress she does well in this one, I know not everyone loved it but her in monarch legacy of monsters is great too. Murder at the end of the world was actually a comment recommendation and never heard of it but turned out to be a solid option. I agree on the handmaid take, it’s riveting but you have to be in the right mindset. It can be so dark at times. And the bear, I really enjoyed. I worked in restaurants so the situations, even though they are hyperbolized, feel really real to me. I recommend this and Ted lasso to everyone cause it just feels like a show that you can enjoy for so many different things
Cowboy Bebop. If you like SciFi at all this is absolutely the most accessible anime out there for you. It's truly in a class all of it's own. Letterkenny is hysterical
I sometimes think with these limited series they feel a bit rushed but yeah can't blame the actors, they did the best they could with the material they were given. Even the greats get slapped with a bad script every once in a while.
@@TheBingeList99 Yeah I'll give you a pass on Yvonne Strahovski, but Fiennes comes from such an arts orientated family that the surname is world famous. No pass on that one I'm afraid. :)
@@TheBingeList99The CIA intentionally flooded the black community with cocaine/crack in the 1980s. The crack sales is how the American government paid for the war in Central America.
@@TheBingeList99he's talking about the fact that the US government / CIA has flooded black communities with cocaine and other drugs in order to paralyze and lock black people up because black communities at that time were seen as a threat to the US government because of black people protesting, organizing for worker's rights and voting against the interests of the ruling elite. He's asking you if they mention it in the TV series. Apparently they didn't mention this crucial fact (or it went over your head maybe).
No need to be sorry, movies and shows are so subjective. Everyone enjoys what they enjoy and I definitely do not expect everyone to agree with me lol I hope one of the other options worked better for you!
I don’t know, I think it makes sense because The series is focused around the beef sandwich shop to start but Carmy renames it the bear in the show but also bear is a nickname for the Berzatto name and it’s in Chicago, home of the Bears. 🤷🏼♂️
