I like the setup you have. its fun to compare. Personally I am a 700 Polaris owner and love my setup. I don't ride really hard, but love to have power on old logging roads when feeling a little frisky. I like riding with guys who have different make atvs and cool goodies on there machines.
Can't beat a Honda or Yamaha. They are not the most powerful but as everyone else breaks down on the side of the trail, these things just keep going. Hell to this day I still see Big Red's and Moto 4's driving around, bikes Honda and Yamaha made back in the 80's and 90's and still on the go today some 30 or so years later. That's reliability. I hear Can-Am is good but since I don't know anyone who has one, I won't comment on them. Still very nice Grizzly shown in this video.
I agree ! Both known for excellent reliability , and quality. I smaller lighter quad can sometimes make it thru mud that the big dogs just can't. thanks for watching !
Excellent review of your addons/mods brother, I will be following many of your ideas this spring and summer on a new '16 Grizz 700 eps, also in GREEEEEEEEN !
+redburn237 Thank you ! I will be posting another one soon , with my Yamaha Alum Skids , and my new 1000W Stereo with Sub. Mean Green , the ONLY way to go ! Thanks for watching.
nice Grizzly, ive got a '13 Grizzly 700 and for sure they are the best made ATV by far. And the weight savings you refer to allows me to keep up with sport quads on the trails even over jumps!!
Very nice Grizz. 10-15yrs. from now it will still be running just as good with normal maintenance. My "most fun to ride" utility atv will always be my old Kawasaki Prairie 700. The off the bottom response and corner to corner acceleration in the woods was great fun. But it had it's quirks just like any other atv. My KQ700 was a great atv also. Same hp number as the Prairie,,in the neighborhood,,but different. It was not a drag racer, or corner to corner blaster. They are all a little different and all have quirks of there own but as long as we have fun. Glad to see Yamaha added the third headlight to the Grizz, and also made it a Dohc engine like the KQ engine for a little more juice...Although in stock form the Grizz was clutched for better take off regardless of hp. Shoot up to 40-50mph off the line my old Kawasaki accelerated with todays modern big atvs, and was much lighter. I've worked on many Polaris atvs, man the clutching on those things needs to be better,,belt slammers and eaters for sure with that high rpm engagement. I prefer the centrifugal clutch constant tension designs from Suzuki and Yamaha,,and even Kawasaki is using that now in the Teryx I see.
Thanks ! Any quad , three wheeler , or dirt bike is fun . Being able to just move across the land , enjoying nature and fresh air , with zero effort ... Is a great feeling to have.. Thanks for watching !!
Hey man....,you got yourself a really fine Grizzly there.....wonderful ATV.....really true...best money can buy.... Have a lot of fun with it and stay safe all time......
good bike and mods, I agree, the Grizz is the best ATV even compared to the most expensive atvs out there.key important features: manually lockable diff, id rather decide when I want my lockers rather than a viscous type, lightest atv over 700cc, Yamaha reliability, separate front and rear brakes. if u where in CA I would ride with u dude. ur attitude towards ur atv translates to your riding
I have two Grizzlys and I have never had a problem on or off the trails with them, very reliable machines. I bought both of mine used and put tires and wheel packages on both with warn winches, like I said great machines and so much fun on the trails.
Man, you've got a great looking four wheeler. It sounds like you really do your research on your mods, which is good! I just got a brand new foremen. I'll be doing an introduction once my rigid industries radiance light bar is installed. But anyways that's a fine looking Grizzly!! Take care and God bless brother
Ain't nothing wrong with a Honda... They make solid machines as well. I always preferred the Grizz over the Rincon though. I really like the 2016 Rubicon with IRS , Diff lock , EPS and FOOT SHIFT. I would like to own Both , but Grizz 1st and would have to keep the Grizzly also. Thanks for watching !
Very nice grizzly you have there!!! You did a fantastic job making each mod look like it came from the factory. Very clean! If I didn't get a Can-Am, a grizzly would've been my second choice for sure.
I can't agree with you more. Grizzlys are the best. I love my 660 special edition. Do you think you could do a quick vid on your survival kit. Curious to know what is in yours.
Sehr gutes Video. Geiles ATV. Habe mir eine 700er SE 2019 bestellt in Country Blue. Bin gespannt.
I have a 2008 Arctic Cat 500 4x4 and I'm looking at everything to determine what to get for an upgrade. I'd like more power. I'm definitely leaning towards a Yamaha Grizzly now. I was checking out Yamaha's website and I don't see if there's a quick release for the cargo box available. Thanks for the video!
I have the heated seat on my '16 EPS LE and you seriously don't need it. the engine heats the seat regardless. I can never really tell if my seat heat is on or not, because its always hot after a few minutes of riding. either that or I have a bad switch on my seat and its stuck "ON" LOL! Nice Rig you got there! - I have the Quadboss rear seat/box, and it holds alot! Im going to get a box up front too though, because I carry a ton of stuff when I go out. Usually my chainsaw rides on my front rack.
Ha ha , ya kinda thought a heated seat was not nessesary . Check out the Yamaha front cargo box.. It very similar to the Rear one on my quad. Thanks for the compliments , and watching !
cheers from wisconsin ! im in the market for a 4x4 atv for hunting and work around the house and some off road fun. but there are so many options idk what to go with ! lol
Hi there, Love your videos as I recently purchased a new 2016 Grizz EPS. Was lucky to find a leftover 16 in 2018! Plan on doing similar accessories. EHS airbox upgrade with lid. EHS tuner, maybe a barker pipe but will probably start with a tip. Also looking at upgrading lighting. Curious what beam pattern you went with for the Black Oak Bar?? Thanks in advance, Jesse
+shilosheena Thank you , Ya I hooked that battery up to the front battery positive side only , then grounded the rear battery onto the bolt inside the rear cargo box.. Works great and gets charged while I ride. I also put my Battery tender pigtail in the box , so its easy to get to !
Hey man, Stumbled on your video, good review, your bike looks new ! Good looking bike though. I love my '08 Grizzly too, haven't had a moments problem with it and I'm at almost 7000 klm. I'l; check out some more of your videos, thanks for sharing !
+Maritimer Thanks !! I try to take good care of it , it has about 600 miles on it in this video.. I have owned 4 Grizzly's over the course of the last 14 years... Not any Problems with any. Glad to hear you are enjoying your ATV , instead of fixing on it.. Yamaha all the way !! Thanks for watching !
Mint quad I have the exact same one lol added 28" zillas and itp wheels the Reese hitch green shock covers green winch saver Yamaha front basket lookin at doing a couple clutch mods 1mm shim and Kodiak weights and purple Epi secondary. Love your front led light bar can you show me where you found the rubber mounting brackets having a hard time finding those? Thanks!!
+- POHLHAMMER I just purchased a 2016 Grizzly today actually, so excited!!! I have a 2007 Grizz as well totally bullet proof. Before my purchase I did go to the competition and look around I kept comparing to the Grizzly and hands down the Grizzly kept coming on top. The can-am dealer here wanted to sell me an outlander so bad he was giving some of the accessories away. Thanks for your videos they are great and yes my 2016 Grizzly is Green. We have 2 Yamaha snow machines as well
Rich Murphy VERY COOL !! You are going to be glad you stuck with Yamaha , nothing beats a Grizzly when it comes to the technical , and the comfort ! Thanks for watching !
Hi .cud you tell wat light you have on rear of your yamaha grizzly700 2016 and also wat is the length of your front blackoak light cheers paul. your yamaha grizzly700 2016 looks class.
I know this is an old video but I have the same rear bumper on my 2016 Grizzly 700. Is there any way you could shoot me a link to the light you’re using here and let me know where you wired into? I’d love to have the same setup on mine. Thanks for making great videos
mike sapp SWEET ! You are going to love your Grizzly Monster. I did have a 2003 660 , it was my first Grizzly , then I had a 2007 , and finally my 16. They just keep getting better ! I also have a 07 400 Grizz , that I really enjoy. Ride safe !!
Love your machine man, great job on going over things. I have a deposit on a 2021 EPS SE Grizzly, should be getting it within next 30 days cant wait, first thing I am looking to do is get that front brush guard bumper :) Do you if the guy that made your shifter is still doing them ? thanks ! Charlie
Thanks ! You will love your Grizz ! I am unsure about the grip , I think he stopped making them many years ago. Good luck , and have fun ! Thanks for watching!
I've had Yamaha, Suzuki, and Honda atv's myself. I'm going to rank Honda my most reliable, Suzuki has been my second, and the Yamaha last. My old Hondas were crazy reliable like the 300 2x4. My Honda 420 is great, Suzuki king 750 has been great, Yamaha rhino was a piece and had nothing but trouble out of it. First I had to basically redesign the crap fuel delivery system on the rhino and then the cv axles got bad easy and finally the front differential basically self destructed. Let me start by saying I don't do anything with one hardly expect drive down dirt trails a little, through the pasture, and down dirt roads. I don't do mud period or deep water as that's asking for trouble with any vehicle period and I'm not up for the maintenance that's required. Also the fact my local Yamaha dealer also told me he'd do the work even though I bought the parts (quality parts not junk) somewhere else (I planned to do it myself then didn't have time) so I immediately got it on a trailer and hauled it an hour to him then he got angry saying he'd sell me the parts but he's not installing parts he didn't sell. And before I left I called and made sure and then asked are you sure cause most places won't and they said wait let me ask the owner to verify for sure then came back and said yes we will do it. So I hauled it 2 hours total for nothing. So with the problems plus my local dealer being a prick I decided I'll never ever ever own a Yamaha again. Oh yea plus my friends brand new raptor back in 05 only lasted a year then wouldn't start and couldn't figure out why at all. He works on heavy equipment every day logging, owns a dirt track car (constant mechanicing including multiple engine rebuilds), and has repaired many Honda atv's in the past including fuel problems to cam shaft sensors. While riding with my friend and his uncle with my old 80's big red 3 wheeler and him with his 1 year old grizzly 660 he barely rode his ride died on him and wouldn't start. But yet I see praises all over for these grizzly but for me I've just had bad experiences. Was it just luck of the draw? I don't know but no Yamaha for me anymore. I'll stay with Honda and if it's a turtle hey least the turtle has always finished the race for me so far. Except my 08 420 got has gunked up in it once but I don't feel like that counts to the machines reliability. My fault there. I'm glad a lot of people have better luck than me with these Yamaha cause it gets expensive fast if not.
Great bike looks awesome!!!! will love to own 1 but to much in Australia $15000 for a 700cc stock griz That why I bought a Polaris 570 $9000 big price difference
U need a mounting plate for the winch? I have the same winch just haven't installed it. If I do need one where can I get it at? Thanks very nice grizzly
Nice informative videosThank youI would reccomend a folding " sicky saw " for cutting bruch and trees ... I carry one on my sled all the time cuts like butter and no risk of injury.Looks like you have your bike well equipped storage box is ful lolShould do a video of what you carry Like the battery idea ... Got me thinking what if....So I went out and purchase "NOCO" GB40 Small and compact For a boost or recharge my phone ... Will boost a dead battery and there is no other way to start a new bike with out a boostTime will tell Look toward to new updates
+'Power2Shine ' That sounds like a nice pc of equipment to carry on the trail , never know who may need a jump start.... I may make a video of my cargo someday. I will be adding some nice Elka Shocks to the Grizz in a video real soon ..Thanks for watching !
well, my buddy has made up his mind to buy a grizz next week. I told him you said with a tune and muffler he can get extra power if needed. for me its about making it out of the woods safe and he worries me. So, I agreed with him, because I know the grizz has great handling and brakes compared to a brute force. ride off the road in some mountain areas were I live and you better hope to hit a tree or we might not find you that day, well maybe parts of you down in the canyon.
Grizzlies are by far the best ATV for the $. I have a 2018. Some design flaws on the 708. The mods I would suggest. EHS airbox and filter. The stock airbox and filter Design is inferior. Could possibly dust the engine. EHS tuner to keep it running cooler. It’s set way to lean from the factory and a fan always runs. 708 runs hot. Elka stage 4 suspension Stock suspension sucks. Other than that she is a beast
@canadian 708 is a great motor. I don’t care if your mother made it. It has well over 3000 miles on it now and it’s still going strong. Not bad for shit huh? 🤔 The 2018 is now my spare I just bought the 2021 Griz
Please make a video on your techniques of washing and detailing. This this is beautiful and show room clean. I have a 2016 as well and can not get it this clean in every slot possible. How long did this take?
Lets just say, , it takes hours..lol I've buried it in the mud many times , but I clean and oil it every time afterwards... It helps to never let it get away for too long. I use Remington gun oil on the frame. Oh , and a leaf blower to dry it helps also. lots of elbow grease and micro fiber rags.. I get a little OCD on it.. lol. I do have a wash video with a few tips ,if you check my channel ,, but I don't go too into depth with it. thanks for watching !
Buy armor all tire foam and spray it all over once you've washed the excess mud off. Let it set until white foam is gone wipe with microfiber cloth and she will look great. I have a video of it on my RU-vid.
Mickey Woods Yes I have. I HIGHLY recommend buying EPS. I would never go back , and most people wont buy a Non-powersteering model , so resale is going to be much much harder. Its worth the extra cost. Theres many reasons its nice , but one great one is , hundreds of miles , no gloves , no blisters. With a non-eps model , Blisters.
dude thats one sweet griz!!! do you have a plow for it or anything? i noticed the snow and you said you were in wisconsin. here in minnesota i have a 2012 griz 700 efi eps with a KFI 2500lb winch and plow
Does anyone know where I can find a 2011-2014 Yamaha grizzly 450 eps that ships anywhere in the U.S for $2000 to $3500? I would prefer the color to be the package to be the one with chrome rims and the body blue but any color is fine with me.
