Nice video. C-Stand safety. I'm only commenting as this is suppose to be for beginners and I have 38 years on set. Tightening handle always on right side. (Light or flag comes down it will tighten on itself) The adapter part (on your c stand the square part) fits on the baby pin of C-Stand and the circular part is for putting your grip arm thru not mounting it on the baby pin of C-Stand. Big leg always under grip arm. Always sand bag big leg and do not let sand bag touch floor as it will not be doing its job by hanging providing weight on leg. Your particular C-Stand is called a turtle base. We also use sliding leg and C-Stands that have spring loaded permanently attached base. I prefer turtle bases for travel. I have both sliding and turtle. Kupo also makes a grip arm that is a hex for mounting lights on the end so they do not spin. For heavy lights please do not use C-Stands as they bare not as stable as light stands.
That's a great guide on how to use the C-Stand! I have exactly that model of C-Stand, so your video was very useful. One question: What happens if you loosen the bolt underneath?
@@LoKnows No, there's a bolt at the bottom of the turtle base, where the legs are, at the opposite side where the body connects with the legs. You need a wrench to adjust that bolt. Just out of curiosity, does anything happen if you loosen or tighten that bolt?
