Got all plumbing redone and sump installed. The system had to purge lots of air After working with caps on stockman overflows, its dialed in and working correctly.
You are just about to come to the finish line with that impressive build, which looks amazing. I hope you are having a great Weekend. Thankyou very much for sharing. Take care, Sir. 👍🙂👍❤️
Ive gotta raise the filter socks a bit and quiet down the return outlet.. Then scape and topframe w/glass lids. And then all the other details.. A few days still before I move fish in..
Thanks.. Its 8ft x 2 1/2ft x 2ft - 300g.. Im running 2 - 1 1/2" drains.. They are capable of 2100gph each, at full siphon. I have a 1/4" hole drilled in my caps to slow the flow down. Im running an 1800gph MagDrive return pump. After headloss, its about 1600gph. Before you decide on return pump, you want to know the drain capacity. Regardless of how large the drains are, it will only return what the pump can give, after headloss. However, if your return pump is too many gph, it can overrun the drain capacity. If you tell me the drain size, I can suggest an adequate return pump.. After you become comfortable with sump operation, you can start to dial in real close.
