Current K1 Max versions are pretty different than the ones from three to six months ago. For example, the v3 extruder is much more reliable than the v2 and the hotend is different. I got my K1 Max in November. I replaced the hotend with the Micro Swiss Flowtech and I've gone through three extruders until Creality sent me a v3. It's really good for me now.
I am looking for my first 3-D printer, and I would like some thing that just works. I see a lot of complaining about the products on this video, but can somebody recommend something that they use, and why?
@SThompsonRAMM_1203 I could maybe make a recommendation. What kind of use were you thinking? There are a few types of 3d printers.. each with their own pros and cons.. resins make excellent, smaller but detailed prints. While fdm printers, although not as pretty, make better functionality prints. Normally, if new to anything, I'd say get something cheap at the start, then something nicer. With the newest advances in 3d printers, I'd suggest starting upper midrange as they become very user-friendly and require much less tinkering to operate. I tend to recommend fdm as it's more.. universal, and with that in mind, maybe try (qidi q 1 pro) it's around 500 and is a good print out of the box experience. Furthermore, with the heated chamber, you can try out lots of different kinds of filaments. The only real downside will be the lack of multicolor print. If multicolor I would go with a P1s combo. But it's more expensive.
@@customit What materials are you printing? Also what models? Both of my Xmax 3 printers seem to work for awhile and after about 10-20 hours they get off track and have to be cleaned and recalibrated. Only on harder to use materials like ABS and PC. Seems to be on the big projects like 10+ hour prints.
Reading, versus practical use is Not the same. This video was made to meet some kind of qouta and was not acutely researched to any respectability. The machines are pretty good but it's obvious that you know little other then what you read from the manufacturers and maybe a quick and dirty Google. Thanks for nought.
Good job on the video. I have two X1 Carbons and love them, but I need something with a little larger build plate size. The K1 and the Max3 just might be what I need. Thanks for posting. I would love to know how the technical and customer support of the Qidi Max3 compares to the excellent support I get from Bambu Lab.
Do NOT buy the K1 Max, the printer is complete garbage. I bought it 1 week ago and will send it back. You need to clean the nosel after every print manually. The printer doesnt feed itself you always have to push the filament manualy. The software is so shitty designed and runs on a very bad cpu so the software/panel/app always crashes the printer when connecting. The AI doesnt detect that the printer isnt even feeding filament on the plate and just keeps printing, no waring or anything. The nosel destroyed the printing bed while autoleveling out of the box and sometime after again! Now I have 2 holes in the bed. The printing bed is completely scratched from the nosel and very bad autoleveling. The printer need about 1 minute after plugging in bevore you can use the panel The printer needs to auto level every single time and with ai active you need to calculate about 15 min bevore the printer starts printing. All that for over 700€ btw the quality isnt better than from any other printer
I don't have the max, but the plus-3 and honestly, I've been running it virtually non-stop for 5 months and it has been outstanding.. When small issues do come up, the support is REALLY good. I'm guessing the reason it edged out the bambu are basically 3 things.. build volume, price, and heated build chamber. If Bambu hit on those things, it would be unstoppable. The Qidi isn't perfect, but it's a really good value
