Hi sir, I am using Iphone 13 and 3D Scanner App TM to scan a rock core which the size is about 1.3 m x 1.3 m. When I import the cloud data in Analist software, I found the average distance between one cloud point to the nearest cloud point is about 15 mm. I am not able to do any setting using the 3D scanner app TM. Q1. Do you know how to increase the density of the could point or in other word decrease the spacing between cloud data ? Q2. Did you notice any difference in 3D scanning using Iphone 13 and Iphone 13 Pro ?
I just tested 3D scanner app, and I just wonder how this app has even been used by anyone... seriously, scanning an object with the front camera only, while you can't even see what you're scanning?
seriously the LiDAR is the only thing I have been using 2 phones (Samsung and iPhone). The day Samsung includes 3D/LiDAR sensor I gonna throw iPhone away. It's such an irritating and frustating so called smartphone. and I have to carry 2 phones cause of it. Hopefully Samsung realises how important LiDAR sensors are unlike Elon Musk who thinks AI can do everything.
Samsung has lidar for years. Its just that theres so many androids so software engineers would have to design a app for 1 specific phone. So they wouldnt make as much money off the app due to being limited to 1 specific phone.
The problem with Samsung phone is simple: Android! An OS that must track HUNDREDS of different hw... memory hungry, poorly implemented, bug festival, cheap. I use IOS as personal phone since iPhone 3... and Inuse Android in my work phone for more than 10 years... 1 year now with iPhone 14 Pro Max and 1 year with S23+ Android is simply some steps below. HW, both are 5x more than anyone needs. They both are super awesome.
