It pushes 2700 lumens uncalibrated. It's way bright enough for many applications. It also has a ton of settings to get the best picture possible in your environment.
To answer my own question in case anyone else is wondering, it doesn't exhaust much heat at all, at least not in comparison to a lamp projector. I ended up buying it and I love it.
@@roro803r so sorry, I thought I answered this question 🤦 I'm so glad you got the LG! 👏 If you need some input on some picture settings and other stuff there is a large group of us in the AVS forum under LG hu810p laser projector calibration settings.
You gentlemen are far superior to Dreameidia HT. Your knowledge is on point and very informative! I will make sure my subscribers find your link. I have a question about the screen, I am using blackout cloth and it's white and have been wanting to get a gray screen material but I don't want any light speckle from it as I am used to the fabric of the blackout cloth not being shiny. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and I want to make it in either 108 inches like my current screen or 110. Keep up the awesome work!!
Thanks for your support my friend. Blackout cloth is one of the most neutral materials out there. You are correct, the gray material can cause minor refraction of light at certain angles. I suggest going with a matte white 1.0 gain material and focus on treating the environment instead. Paint the walls with a flat paint, black is preferable but something like Sherwin-Williams cyberspace would work well. Consider a dark carpet. With a properly treated environment, there's no need for a gray screen. Ofcourse you need a relatively high contrast projector as well. Take care. DAV Bros
We wanted to do a video on that but LG said they had that covered. Both great projectors and both 4K enhancement units. There's pros and cons to both. Feel free to call our shop at 214.600.4144 to get our opinion and we will help you out. Thanks.
Gray screen really helps most projectors. I used to have a white screen until another RU-vid person did a review and posed the question ( no projector can display black only lack of light!!). I was also concerned with color degradation, but that also is a farce. Gray screen is all the rage for a reason and I am in total belief 👌👍👏
Sorry my friend, that's a professional calibration service. We wouldn't be able to do justice without Hands-On work. If you are local to DFW we can come by but we also offer remote calibration Services via Zoom
Hi, i have problem with this projektor, i can not get dts-sound to my receiver, i conected hdmi arc, did not work, conected toslink-cable, did not work. Tested all the settings. Can you help me, thanks
Did you know that most people don’t care about that? It only makes a big difference for gaming. We did talk about input lag. They are pretty comparable in 4K 60, the Sony is faster in 1080 P120. We also did mention that you get HDMI 2.1 in the JVC and only HDMI 2.0 on the Sony. Anyone who has interest in the 120 Hz refresh rate, would clearly know that the Jvc is the only one that is capable of producing that refresh rate. So not sure why the confusion but I thought it was pretty clear.
@@jaybrookfield6823 so very sorry for not getting back to you 🤦 I decided to wait until my new screen came in. It comes in next week and at that time I will be working hard to get the best possible picture, providing the screen works out with it. I got the disk in a couple of weeks ago from ebay and it was in awesome condition and still had the color lens with it! If you go to my channel you can see that I shifted gears and replaced my entire audio system, that is what I got buried in 😁
Actually, we are a professional custom integrator. We are not some random RU-vidr that shouldn’t be doing reviews on products they don’t understand. Projectors should be properly paired with certain screen material surfaces and adjusted for each individual installation environment. A proper custom integrator will achieve the highest quality result for whatever product that specific customer requests. Thanks for watching and take care.
thank you for the video .. I'm thinking about a projector only for movies and there is this LG There is also an Epson 5050UB and there is a JVC X5900 What do you recommend for a 100 inch screen
Yeah this is entry-level equipment. It’s pretty decent. It’s a little steep on the price for what you get. There’s a bunch of new projectors coming out from Epson, Sony and Jvc. But LG is doing some pretty cool things as well
I have a budget of $4k for a home theater. Picture quality is the most important, however I would like a laser projector for lifespan and maintenance. What would you recommend?
