I had the Nitto’s in a 37x13.50 and they lasted 60k miles with little to no road noise. Hard to get away from them. I do think they come with a 50k mileage warranty.
I have a set of kenda klever rt's(33-12.5-R20), and they are a pretty awesome! Great wet and dry handling, super quiet, and keep your vehicle flat while cornering!
I traded in my Kenda Klever tires after one week for a set of Nitto Ridge grapplers. I've regretted it every since. The ridge grappler tires are quieter but my truck now looks smaller and less aggressive with the same size tires
My pick is the Duratrac, I have ran several sets of them on my 2012 F250 4X4. They are soft enough to grip well in the winter at very cold temps. Yet they’re really decent in the Mud.
I'm on my first set and I'm not getting anything else for my truck. I had the Goodyear Wrangler adventures with Kevlar on before this. Those were great tires too and they lasted a long time. They just weren't up to the task with the snow or off-roading like the duratracs. I really think that the duratracs are the best all round tires, at least for my situation.
KO2’s are working great for me here in Canada. So far this winter I pulled a Ford F-150 and a old GMC out of the ditch with my Ram. Not at the same time. Be well and drive safe eh.
I swear by Duratrac I’ve had two sets I run 35s On a f250 diesel they have never let me down mud or snow especially on wet roads never had a noise problem as long as you stay on top of tire rotation
I have 275/75/17 Toyo Open Country ATII with a little more than 30k miles on them. 16or17/32 new now have 11/32. Mounted on a Ford E-350 quigley 4x4 van. These have been really great in snow(have been through 3 1/2ft no problem!), & virtually no road noise. They were $176 mounted balanced & installed would def buy again.
I had a set of tall and narrow super swampers years ago. They were loud, handled like crap, didn’t last long, but I loved them. I could drive through anything.
Our top sellers would be: BFG KO2, Toyo Open Country ATll, Hankook Dynapro RF11 A/T and the Hercules Terra Trac ATll. One tire that I personally really like and have heard great reviews is the Hercules Terra Trac T/G MAX
Yeah we do a ton of the goodyear duratrac, Hercules xventure, Firestone transforce, Goodyear adventure AT and bfg ko2 and km3. Mostly duratrac and ko2 for everyone that works their own rigs and the transforce for all the service rigs.
Got 8000 miles on the kendra rt. By far the best tire I've bought so far. Quiet and smooth. Great traction in all conditions especially snow and mud. Would recommend to anyone who wants a more aggressive tire than an at but dont wanna sacrifice the comfort less from a mt
General Grabber APT. Great in the snow and pretty much any other condition. 13k miles and still look brand new, excellent handling and quiet. I am very pleased with these tires and will buy them again in the future.
Good year Duratrac's. Awesome tire, a little ,I do mean little noise for what you get in performance. Small trade off. Excellent tire, outstanding in the snow. Mounted on a 2018 Silverado Z71 LT 4X4.
No Cooper AT3 XLT’s? I’ve had Kenda and Goodyear’s, they were ok, just don’t last as long as I wished, I bought a set of Cooper Discoveries for my wife’s Explorer, going on 62k and many more left so I decided to purchase the AT3’ for one of my F250’s, awesome tires, going on 35k and I suspect I have about 20 more to go, the Goodyear’s lasted 21k, and Coopers are USA!
I have had the Good Year Wrangler Duratrac 275/55/20 tires on my truck and they are just amazing! I've had them on for over a year so far and they still look brand new with 8k miles on them. They don't look the least bit warn yet. I have had them rotated once at 5k miles. I thought they would be somewhat noisy but no, they are pretty quiet. Just a fine, light little Howell but not worth even mentioning. Surprised with the huge tread blocks. Also, the rubber is super thick and durable on these tires. The only drawback is that they do throw up rocks. If your tires stick out of your fender just a little, your paint will suffer. I knew about this when I saw reviews on this tire, but my truck is older with paint chips, so I wasn't too concerned. If you have 20 inch rims, this 275/55/20 tire looks super sexy on 20 inch rims. Mine are chrome wheels, and I just love this size and type of tire on those wheels!!
Waow... I think I will give them a try. I actually have Thompsons 275 65 20 in my lifted Tundra. I was also thinking about the Cooper discoverer AT3. But The Duratrac look more agressive apparently.
Duratracs all day. I had a set of LTs on my F150 and got 154000km out of them. Replaced them with another set, but this set likely won't go as far as I went with the P series this time.
I have the kenda klevers 35-12.50x20 so far so good my ride is butter smooth and way less road noise than others I've tried. I paid 1200 for mine so the next set will definitely be ordering from you guys!
I have the kenda r/t 33x12.5x20 on a 10 wide rim and they’re a really good tire, especially for the price. They talk a little bit on the highway, but it’s nothing major and that’s what a radio is for. Fuller is right though, nothing stays in the tread😂
I have a had 3 punctures on my falken wildpeak at 37s , I need something with high puncture resistances. Note - I love my Falkens, wonderful performance. we have that weird snowstorm in texas and i had no doubts in my tires while driving
Man, I just put on a set of the new Yokohama Geolander X AT's on my Jeep and they totally rock! SUPER quiet and grip the wet roads like mad. I hope you do a review of this tire soon it is well-deserving of it.
@@Grodd70 In the event you're still on the fence, I've had a set of SST Pros on my truck for many years and they are amazing tires offroad and are silent on pavement, and they wear like iron. One year here in Texas we got 13" of snow (ANY snow is exceptionally rare, this amount you'd have thought the sky was falling), and guess who was the one guy who made it to work over a 40 mile drive down the interstate that probably should have been closed. =) They're like having tank tracks for tires. I was so impressed after that morning that I wrote Cooper with fanmail. I'm also contemplating the Maxx's for my next rig, though from what I've read, they're packing even more grip in more conditions that the Pros.
@@C-M-E Boom! Thanks for comments this is they kind of information I need to help make a good tire decision ...one from real users in different conditions Thanks :)
Had a set of Yoko Geolander XT on my 4runner. Rotated every 5000 miles. At first very smooth and quite but as I put on 10,000 miles the noise was intolerable. Also hard to balance, hard road force balancing done twice to get it right.
I have 10 ply Toto's At on my Ram 1500. I tow a travel trailer, go up logging roads and have had them in the snow. Great tire. Lots of traction, and not loud on the highway. Quite happy with them.
Running the wrangler duratracs in 325/60/20 studded on my F350 as a winter tire. Work great and love them. Not as loud on the Hwy as expected. Would recommend to anyone
10/0 Catfishing such a tough call! We could only pick 5! Check out the whole video we have dedicated to the wildpeak AT3W, it’s one of my favorites for sure. -Fuller
Got Falken wild peaks because I had limited choices in 37/12.5/18 and they have been great. Desert /rain/ snow tires and they have the winter snow rating.
FALKEN 100% better than all of them. I’ll Never put another tire on any of my vehicles. Literally everything has them. Suburban, expedition, Ram 3500s, jeeps, the work trucks. They last 70k miles at least!!!!
Yeah one of my favorite tires look wise had them on my Tundra. Until I move to the Midwest from California. 2007 ice storm these tires almost killed me helping my brother-in-law get unstuck. I seen my truck in park slide down the hill fresh snow on top of ice. Almost smashed me it was an eye-opener winter tires baby! Tire makers make a snow peak rated Mt Tire!
Love my Falcon 37x12,5 x18 at .on my 2017 f 250 .rotated regularity. 40000 on them think i will make 55000 .severe weather rated never let me down very stable in rain . i do tend to drive a little spirited.
Check on the cooper st maxx. Gotten 30 thousand miles out of mine and have 30 thousand miles still left did great in snow in Nebraska and good in mud. What y’all know about them
I hope i dont get my head bitten off but I have had very good luck with the General Grabber at2 tires here in Colorado with off roading and snow/ice. I commute from Colorado Springs to Denver and have been up and down the mountains.
Also the sidewall is so thick that it makes the ride very bumpy and also gravel gets stuck in the tread and usually gets thrown out after 30mph. Cornering with the kenda klever is very flat and predictable with assurance way above the speeds you would think you could go through. Wet traction is very stout with no slippage, even on wet tar roads. Aired down around 25psi is the best pressure that i found that works for my 08 Silverado 1500 unloaded with a compromise between bounce and steerability. Overall I give this tire an 8/10 and would definitely buy this tire again.
Personal experience from myself and a few others I know who bought the Wrangler Duratrac is Garbage in wet conditions, no traction, always spins and hydroplane, before the trolls comment some BS, yes they are always properly Inflated to spec and always rotated and always balanced and running proper size for the vehicles they are Installed on! I have watched countless youtube videos and the Nitto Ridge Grapplers and the Toyo Open Country RT prevail on top of most other tires that anyone reviews ! I know what I'm buying next, also, where I live , SNOW is RARE, so more dirt and gravel reviews would be great, especially out of the concrete garage/shop , more real world reviews, hell their are too many folks who throw sales pitches for reviews as it is on RU-vid land. Cool video and hope this helps someone !
No reviews on Goodyear adventurer, Fuller? I put them on my 18 Silverado z71. Live in New Hampshire and they handled the snow great. Truck has all wheel 4 high 4low. Only had to use 4 high once. Every snow storm we had up to 18 inches just left the truck in all wheel and it went anywhere i wanted to go
I have duratracs on my 2013 F150 ... they have over 75k miles (i rotate every 10k).. im gonna get at least 20k more on them, they look great.. $1300 ish for 285/75/17's.. awesome tires (had same on my o4 explorer)
@jamesnm21 combined.. 48 miles round trip to work everyday, I live in the suburbs. I really feel its the rotating that helps. I dont tear them up off roading but only in the fall during hunting season.
The first year nitto mud grappler came out, I got em cause how gnarly they looked. U could hear me coming miles away and u could actually feel the shrinking as u drove and they wore down lol
Kenda throws a random winner out there occasionally. The Bear Claw atv tire was a winner in the sub 30" market for a long time. Smooth with plenty of traction for overall use. I'm interested to see how this plays out.
Logically I don't see how they (Scorpion) could be any good in deep snow, as in 6 inches or more. How do these tires "bite" to get any traction to stop, corner or accelerate? Compare to GY Duratracs, or Kevlar Adventure..
Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ p3 are way better hybrid tires..I have 72k on my original set and they’re still good for more..handle great in wet conditions..which in FL we have all the time and it rides like a caddy at highway speeds...they do well off-road too.
Commenting on an older video but I’m going to buy my 3rd set of Duratracs this fall. So far I’ve driven 110k combined on the last sets with ZERO punctures. Our other vehicles are constantly picking up nails/screws. Also they are expensive in the larger sizes but stock ram 2500 size of 275/70r18 are pretty cheap.
These are definitely all solid picks! I personally prefer anything from Toyo. I've ran several sets and they always exceed there predicted mileage expectations. Quality stuff!
How come you guys never mention the Ko2? Is it because they are so expensive and have a pretty hard on road ride? I really like mine. Of course these are your personal favorites, but I feel they never even get an honorable mention
Aren't those small holes on the duratrac for studds? Shopping around for some 235/70/15 for my lifted forester live up in Canada where we have 6 months of snow and ice studded tires are basically a must have.
Mikey Thompson baja atzp3, I recently put these on and so far they have been a good tire. 45k mile warranty, snow rated, and they are a hybrid like the nitto and toyo rt.
Just ordered some Kenda Klever R/T’s in 33x12.5r20 on some Dropstars 654bm 20x10’s. Should have them this week to throw on the truck. Will update once they get put on. Hoping for the best 🙏🏻
I've been running the Toyo Rt on a 2015 gmc 1500 and they were on the truck when I purchased them with 21000 miles on the truck. Have 68000 now and they still going strong. Very tough tire
I ran Kenda Klever A/T's on my F250. 35x12.5r17. I had over 20oz of weight on each wheel and still they wouldnt balance. Three different places couldnt get them to stop shaking. At 45mph and 65mph they would shake your fillings out. My dad bought the same tires in 33x10.5r17 for his Silverado and he had the same problem. This was 2015 so maybe they are better now, but i wont buy another Kenda tire.
I just bought a set of TOYO CT. I don’t find them too bad at all. Little harder rubber than I would’ve liked but that should add to the mileage that I should get out of them. I would like you to tell us more about them I am a Duratrack fan myself. But couldn’t get a set they were out of stock.
Actually I would think those little ridges between the tread blocks in the duratrac are actually to assist in cleaning. Preventing mud and snow from clinging between the blocks.
I love you guys videos and try to watch everyone I can but you really need to test out the Hercules Terra Trac ATII. I have put close to 60,000 miles on mine with regular rotation and balance and I have gone through everything from mud to snow and ice here in Texas and the only thing that I had trouble with was East Texas clay. I would love you guys to give this tire a try and see what you think. 😁👍 Thanks for the videos!
I have had the Toyo RT and Nitto Ridge Grappler...Preferred the Ridge Grappler. I have 20k miles on my 20 F250 and these Yokohama X-AT are wearing the best and handle everything I throw it. It appears I will get more than 40k miles out of them just by the way they are wearing. Very pleased to date. Do a review on these
How many miles did you get from the toyos and nittos? I just put dick cepek trail country exp on my dodge 250. Hopefully will get 50k or more but we'll see.
About to buy a set for my 18 Silverado z71 1500 but still undecided. I have stock Goodyear ATM and holy crap here in Oregon when the roads are a bit damp these tires are HORRIBLE! Just a little throttle and they spin! Normal 35psi and I am not a lead foot. Would love to find something better for wet conditions but also good in winter driving as well. Great video
Is there any tire better than the Duratrac’s? I’ve run two sets now and I can’t find a better performing tire? 🤷♂️ I need a set of tires for my truck and I wouldn’t mind trying out a different tire but I don’t know where to after two sets of great tires.
Trying to decide on the right tire for my 2014 ram 1500 2wd. 275/65/18 is whats on there now. Between a nitto ridge grappler or a bf goodrich ko2 tire? Opinions would be great. Which would be better for comfort, quietness and reasonable mileage? I don't go off raid but want a little aggressive looking to it. Really would like to hear some of you guys advice. Greatly appreciated
Agreed they're a great tire. I have 33s on my ecodiesel and taken them out on the beach in OBX. They did amazing in the sand never even came close to stuck. They're pricey but worth the money.
KM3s bud. Best tire I’ve run period but I had inner treads siped so ice/snow grip is also insane now . I run them on full size tundra, hummer H3 and Colorado Zr2 bison. No shit
They used to be my favorite tire, but then I got the Falken Wildpeak AT3w's. They have better lateral traction (taking curves in the snow) and are much quieter. Everything else about them though is the same it similar as the BFG's and they cost much less and last just as long, if not longer.
I have the Kendas on my Jeep. Noisy, wear is OK after 40k miles, traction is good, price is excellent. There, a review from someone that has used the product. Best tires I own on my F350 are Cooper, which I purchased for performance, not mall crawling.
I'm a Toyo guy but the BFGs are easily a top tier tire. I cannot believe they mentioned Good for a Year over anything else. Duratracs on company truck had random side wall blowouts brand new. Chinese junk.
I never here y’all talk about the nitto Exo grappler. I recently bought a 2500 Dodge Ram and it had the Exo grapplers on it. The are not really loud on the road and perform like an all terrain if not better. Just wondering if y’all have ever sold any because I am thinking about going back with them next time I have to buy some tires.
I have a RAM 2500 6.7 cumming I run the highway M-F with an 18' 10k lb enclosed trailer. How will the wear of the tire do with the toyo open country at ii?
