I’ve been converted to cushion foundations ever since I tried the pony effect everlasting cushion! I actually really love the puff it comes with, it gives me such an airbrushed look 💕 Love ur videos btw! I think I’m the Shade 33. Cinnamon
Just a quick FYI, using a sponge with cushion foundation will alter the coverage you get as well as using more product. Cushion foundations are thinner, they're liquid and are held into the compact with a sponge so logic should tell you that it will be soaked up by any sponge. As a liquid it doesn't apply the best with a brush either. The thin applicator cushion provided really does work beautifully and provides excellent, smooth coverage as long as you use it correctly. Just pat and pat and roll at times but mostly just pat. Do Not bounce, pat. That said I really liked this video and Mirenesse is by far my favorite cushion foundation ever.
Because of you, I got to discover my love for the Laneige Pore Blur Cushion. It's such a beautiful foundation to have. But I honestly still am a true hard fan of the Giorgio Armani Cushion. It's lightweight, natural and has shades that are better suited for my skin tone! Thanks for this video Ruby! x
This was really helpful, I'm struggling to find a cushion foundation for my pale oily skin, I dipped into my savings to try a couple that were reccomend, but they didn't work out. So this is really helpful, Thanks Ruby. I'd luv to try Laniege pore smoothing cushion, I've heard good things about the brand. I'd be the lightest shade, always am 😕 xx
Zana, you're too lovely! Definitely reconsider or at least start with a drugstore cushion. apparently the wet and wild one is on everyone's lust list and it's bomb. I'm plotting to get my hands on it her in Australia
Ruby Golani thank you! I don’t mind me some photo finish by wet n wild (and OMG, their Gold bar highlighter is soooooooo damned fab!!!!). I’ll give the cushion a go too 😊
Loved the video, thanks Ruby! Never ever disappoint. I have tried the Lancôme Miracle cushion as well as the L'Oréal, Maybelline Dream Cushion and the Body Shop one which are all great. Keen to try the Mirennese Collagen 10 for my mature skin. Am 55 years young and love all things beauty. As for shade I am NC 37 in MAC.
I feel like lighter color lip colors would enhance your natural beauty and also go with you a lot better. I noticed there is a certain type of color for lips that you use usually. I feel like a lighter color like more of the nudes or light more calm colors would make your lips look amazing. You have really nice lips! I wish my top lip was plump like yours! Also, a couple times I have heard you say that you used to have acne, what did you do to get rid of it? I have struggled with acne my whole life. I am 29 now. The older I get the more it changes, but it doesn't get better it just goes to other places of my face and it's annoying.
Ugh I have dry skin and compact foundations are the holy grail for my skin I think my skin tone is light with a neutral undertones so actually I’m the same shade as you!❤️❤️
I love the Maybelline Dream Cushion foundation! It’s such beautiful medium coverage, satin skin like finish and so easy to apply - even if you’re in a rush! I think I would be #21 Natural Beige. I would die if I won, because I love all your recommendations and would love to use with the Chanel powder that I purchased because of your rave reviews! (I love it by the way!) xo
This video is everything! Went to youtube for reviews about cushion foundations. Glad to come across yours but unfortunately laneige cushion foundations is sold out here! 💔💔💔
Thanks for the great video. I am going to save up for the Chanel powder after seeing your video as I haven't been able to find one that doesn't look dry on my skin. I have tried the Mirenesse collagen 10 and loved it. I would love to try Laneige one as it looks great and awesome value. I normally wear the same shades as you and have a similar skin type so I am always super keen to hear what you have to say about products 😁
Haven't tried any cushion foundations. The shade selection seems to be poor. Don't know if those have any for me as I'm very pale. Would like to try one though. Good video. 😊
I've always preferred BB cushions over regular liquid foundations but most BB cushions (I've only tried drugstore ones so far) that I've tried are way too light - and I have just a tad darker skintone than yours. I have no luck with liquid foundations either so rather than risking looking ashy, I do my base with concealers only. 😭 No. 23 Sand looks like a nice shade for me tho Much love from East Malaysia!
The undertones can also be a little off too, which is such a shame. I've always encouraged people to contact brands who fail to have a wider shade selections **most brands, cough*** They need to know! If consumers don't speak up, they'll never know the demand for a product/shade!
I haven’t tried any cushion foundations but I’ve been wanting to! I am curious about the Chanel one actually the Laneige one. Fingers crossed that I win it!
To be honest i haven't tried any caushion foundation before i have redness & texture and i'm always worried that its gonna look like nothing on my very pale skin...but you got me really excited to try one 😊 have you tried any drugstore ones like l'oreal or maybelline??.l
Haven’t tried it yet but really want to for summer’ been filling my basket on yes style for awhile but not had the courage to purchase. Very Light neutral
Omg...I am having the HARDEST time finding the right shade and coverage for me...the closest and best color match for me has been Amore Pacific 204...but it doesn't have the full-coverage I'm looking for to make me not look a a leopard (from my acne marks, flare ups and scars)...The Missha Color Lasting in 23 was way too light and ghosted me out... 27 was a pretty good match, but it didn't feel like it settled it well and meh...Esmia Air Cushion in 25 felt like it didn't blend well...Laneige dual lasting in 23, was too light...and a'pieu Wonder Tension madecassoside in 23...also ghostly... I'm a neutral to warm light/medium in most US standards and wear a 2.15-2.25 in Morphe concealer and Cheesecake in HUDA foundation...HELP ME PLEASE!! If ANYONE needs a good cushion in the right color, it's me...cuz I've been trying EVERYTHING...
Ruby Golani Korean Skincare is the best, many of the western products are based on korean products, or even manufactured in Korea: YSL, IT Cosmetics etc. Look into Hera the Black Cushion, Sulwhasoo - Perfecting Cushion, Pony Effect Everlasting Cushion, Moonshoot Microfit, Clio Funwear, Amore Pacific. There's so many of them, at a fraction of the cost of the western ones. You're 23 in Korean beauty I feel if you go for B30 in YSL.
The Lanome ones have a much larger shade range at least here in the US. I personally LOVE the Lancome Teint Idole cushion. It looks so goreous & has such a beautiful satin finish.
I flipped out when I saw the U.S shade selection. It's like we only get 1/2 here! I have so many GFs who have a deeper complexion and would love this product but won't be able to wear it due to the limited shade range.
Exist some cushion you can recommend for normal/oily skin, medium to full coverage not so expensive as Lancome Tient? :( sorry im just student :( please!!!
Try the Clio kill cover cushion xp. You can get it from YesStyle . Its less expensive and good for oily skin. In general the best cushions are expensive, i’ve tried a few and my favorite is the Hera black cushion but its almost $55 and you can only buy it in Asia which sucks.
I was going to give the L'Oreal cushion a mention BUT wanted to include it in a seperate video with even. more affordable compacts. Try giving L'Oreal a go xx
Let me tell you, I am a tan lady freaking out about what shade to buy.... I honestly feel so annoyed about the color range Bc it’s very frustrating and being pale isn’t a trend here...
