nice vids btw,altough,these robots are only glorified tablets wich are totally unusefull and make people lazy once robots can do houseshold tasks like, coocking,cleaning,do security rounds (stairs) etc,then they will be usefull to older persons who need help in such things,ask it to bring you a drink,to coock you dinner,to walk up the stairs nope,can't do it,it's only a media tablet on wheels pffff

Ronny B I can agree with you in that aspect. They do need to be able to do more practical tasks, But hold on. They will come. I also like the companion side of some of these robots. Something that can roam freely through the house and come up to me and acknowledge my presence. Not quite like Jibo who pretty much sits on your desk and yammers at you. The acting in these advertisements just makes me laugh. I can’t say much though. I will be getting a Kuri from Mayfield robotics soon and I will be putting its uses to the test. I am totally blind and so I don’t get out much. I bought this robot mostly for its companion aspect. We shall see if it can deliver. I also considered purchasing this professor Einstein robot because he was so much more affordable, but the app Needed to control him does not work well with voiceover which is the program that makes my phone Speak To Me so that I can tell what’s on the screen. I couldn’t even log into the app to set it up. It was absolutely silent from the time I opened it.

statorworks 345 Well Jibo did make it to market and they are improving it so that's good. Look like buddies going to make it to. Moorebot made it but it's still a little shy of the mark there is a video about it on my channel. I believe home robotics is the future of home automation. But there will be a lot of bumbs before we get there.
