I'm very happy that Brendan Fraser came back to the spotlight, he was awesome in the 90's and was one of my favorite actors growing up. His wholes history of overcoming depression and Hollywood shadow ban it's awesome. Awesome performance in The Whale I was in tears at the end and was speechless after that ending. I was devastated to learn what ended up happening to his career many years ago and ALWAYS thought it was so unfair. I didn't get to watch the ceremony on tv but looked up the winners and was absolutely floored that our man Brendan Fraser took it home for Best Actor....this is a guy who ABSOLUTELY deserved this win! Now, Hollywood needs to wake the hell up and give this man his due with a slew of roles until HE decides to call it a career!

All 5 nominees were fabulous, mainly Fraser and Butler. I never cared who would win, both were amazing. But hapy for Fraser! Although sad for Butler. The kid literally gave one of the best performances of all time.

I always thought he deserved an Oscar nod for his comedic performances as various diverse characters in "Bedazzled." He was laugh-out-loud hilarious. Brendan Fraser is an incredible actor whom I've followed since his role in "School Ties," and he richly deserves his Oscar. That he won over Austin Butler as Elvis is remarkable, but it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

He’s so humble and you can see that he’s genuinely not quite believing that he won an Oscar. I’m a fan of him since The Mummies and Disney stuff though it never crossed my mind that he’d win Oscar for Best Actor because his acting style. I’m gonna to have to watch The Whale to see how a stark contrast of a character I once only saw of him.
