Hey bryce, I really appreciate your appreciation on my camera work. I enjoyed taking close up macro video and product presentation, that's why I started this RU-vid channel. Thanks for dropping this comment. It mean a lot to me.Thanks.
I love mine, got it with the laptop tray included. Thanks for being so thorough with your review, hope it helps others decide what to get for themselves.
Great video. NB really does make a quality monitor mount. I have one for a single monitor and it's been great for 5 yrs now. Can't wait to get this dual monitor version once I upgrade my setup. Thanks.
Yes thats right and the price is very affordable too. Wow, 5 years that's a long time for it to still be working well. I am sure you will like the dual arm version too. I wish North Bayou come up with one that has a laptop stand.
Would like to know how much clearance I can get below the monitors if I am using 27inch screens. would like my laptop screen to fit under the monitors without having to tilt it so much.
@@HamedEmine I ended up getting two individual ones and the clearance I have using 24 inch monitors is about 25cm (10 inches) under the screen. I am using a Lenovo T14 that is sitting on a dock and it fits, flushes with the bottonm of the screen
Hi guymanjoni, the screw size depends of the brand and model of monitor. Most monitor's VESA mount screw size is M4 x 6mm, but please check the monitor instructions as they can vary.
Hey since you're using an ikea table, have u noticed any sagging on the clamping area of the table itself? I'm a bit worried since i also am using an ikea table n quite interested on using this product as well.
No, note at all. No sagging and no signs of warping. This monitor arm double screw clamps well on my Ikea table. My Ikea table is LINNMON in case you need the specifics. The monitors, the arms and my table are all like one unit. They all shake together as I shake the table. Hope this helps.
@@SkyPerspective u don't know how happy i am to get this reply, i also am using the LINNMON model n this just sold me into buying the product. i appreciate the answer, i really do, getting that clean setup is always a dream of mine, n this just seal the deal for me, thanks! best wishes to u, hope you're having a wonderful day, cheers! 😄
@@Phandoraaa Sorry for the late reply, lots of comments to reply to. Thanks for letting me know. I am also very happy to receive your reply, and even more glad that my video has really helped you make your purchase decision. It's a great monitor arm. I am about to upgrade my set up to three monitors and most likely will go with North Bayou again. Enjoy setting up your LINNMON desk, I am sure if will feel new again.
That is adjustable. The tension of the spring can be adjusted using the included Allen key. The adjustment knob is on the "elbow" of the monitor arm. Hope this helps.
@@veestsar664 that is so interesting, I haven't encountered that before. Have you tried tightening or loosening the tension of the arms on either sides? Please be careful and have a monitor on the arm while you adjust the spring, if not they might bounce and cause injury.
The (older) version I got can only support up to 27" monitor. Apparently the newer version can now support up to 30" monitors. Have a look at the specs here: www.amazon.com.au/F160-Monitor-Motion-Computer-Monitors/dp/B071HWSHMW/
ill it be stable if i buy dual monitor arm but I ill only use one arm ? I don't have second monitor yet but to save it in the future for second one so I don't have to buy separate arm
Yes it should. The clamp on the desk is pretty firm and strong. The main stress will be on the desk, so if you have a thick desk, then it should not be a problem. If you use with just one arm, you can fold the "elbow" of that arm with the monitor, all the way back, instead of fully extended, so that the monitor is positioned somewhere on top of the base that clamps the desk. The centre of gravity will be nearer to the base. And if your desk is not that thick, consider adding a piece of wood to make it thicker, so clamp the desk+the wood together. It should work.
Hi Ken, if we route the cable from the back of the monitor through the monitor arm cable management trunking, by the time it reaches the base of the monitor arms, it would already used up 1M. So I would say the minimum length is at least 2M. The cable I am using is 2.5M. Hope this helps.
No I don't think this mount is designed for laptop. There are other gas lift mount design specifically for laptop. Search "gas lift laptop mount" on Amazon or Ebay. Let me know if you need more information.
Yes I think North Bayou has improved this model since I made this video. In fact I think they might have renamed their North Bayou name, there is a new similar brand NBAV which seems to be selling the same dual monitor stand. What does yours look like?
