First thing I have to mention is how beautiful your eyes are. And just enough eye makeup to really show them off. I should also mention that I was an optician for many years. But I'm now retired and enjoying playing as much golf as humanly possible. Thanks to the girls in our optical store I am well aware of Eye Buy Direct as well as numerous other wonderful glasses sites. Even though they each received a free pair of glasses every 6 months as a part of their benefit package they also enjoyed shopping the on-line sites for glasses and sunglasses quite often. Even several of the girls that didn't need glasses were ordering glasses on-line just for fashion. If you spend your days and evenings with your eye staring at a computer screen I'm not at all surprised that you need prescription glasses. Computers are the worst for your eyesight. Many companies are now providing 100% full coverage for eye exams and glasses where their employees are working in front of a computer all day. So something tells me you haven't been wearing glasses very long have you? I think your glasses are mostly to relax your eyes. and the blue light blocking is reducing eye fatigue and eyestrain. As you were holding up your different glasses I was able to look through your lenses and I could barely notice the cylinder (astigmatisms) in your glasses and I would think that you might be a little nearsighted but I really didn't see any indication of that at all. So if you are nearsighted you must have the weakest prescription possible. Now your optometrist maybe told you what an astigmatism is in regard to your eyesight. But in case he or she didn't what it means is that your eyes aren't shaped perfectly. Not something you would be able to see because it's in the back of your eyes. The result is that your eyesight is effected at all distances. So your distance vision is isn't as perfect as it should be and your close up vision is off slightly as well. Now the fact that you were told you only have a slight astigmatism in both eyes means it is very slight but just enough to make a difference to your eyes. You probably only notice a very slight difference when you take your glasses off after earing them all day at work. Just a slight blur am I right? By the way with a prescription like you have you can wear your glasses as much as you want to. So since you seem to like your glasses and enjoy having the 4 pairs if you want to wear your glasses full time that's perfectly okay to do. You;re never going to do any harm to your eyes by wearing them. So if you just want to wear them as a fashion accessory, like many young ladies are doing, that's fine to do. It's not going to cause your eyes to worsen. But sorry to say that excessive computer work could cause a change in your prescription. Okay now let me help you with some terms you might want to know since your a glasses wearer. Those things you like about 3 out of the 4 pairs of glasses is called "adjustable nose pads" The pair that doesn't have that is called a "molded nose pads" Your right that second pair you put on is very similar to the Ray-Ban Clubmaster which I loved fitting young women with in my working days. I'm sure you love wearing them because they are one of the most comfortable pairs of glasses to wear. The style is "brownline" Very nice looking glasses. There a semi-rimless style meaning they only have a plastic frame at the top and a metal band on the sides and bottom areas. That also allows for your lovely face to be seen so well even with your glasses on. That pair fits you perfectly by the way. Oh and you have to love the gold accents on your glasses as well. That's what gives them that elegant classy look. Now the next pair, also really cute on you, the arms are actually called the "temples" and I like that the temples are in gold on those glasses. I don't know what the width of the second pair was that was a perfect fit but you're right this pair is slightly too wide for your face. If you look at the 3:24 point at your eyes and notice that they aren't centered in the lenses like the second pair was. That's how you can tell if a frame is too wide or not. When you take your glasses and are showing them from different angles I can't believe how thin your lenses are. Your lenses appear to paper thin which really means you have a very weak prescription. I'm sure some of your friends have tried your glasses on. I bet they have asked you if your glasses are real or not because they probably are able to see perfect wearing your glasses. They wouldn't notice your astigmatisms unless they had your glasses on for several hours. And if you are nearsighted they may or may not be able to notice that either. I would love for you to reply with your prescription because I'm really curious to know. When are you due to get your eyes examined again? Doing the type of work you do,. you should be getting your eyes checked every year.
