The no name reference isn't really recurring like some of the other stuff. He does reference lots of things from past albums and songs as you continue on so that it all connects up. The journey is 100 % necessary to catch all future references. It's like he drops Easter eggs in his newer songs from old albums that his og fans pick up on. Love that he does that
Just for perspective... This is almost a year later, he just dropped clouds (awesome) and he has a bar that says. They think I'm lame, with no weight to my name. So still an issue

Hey just a suggestion, try to make the music the same volume as your voice because in the video your voice is much louder than the music so I keep having to turn it up and down. I have no clue how this works or if u can change it but either way you don’t have to take my opinion I’m only 14 so idk what I’m really talking about. Also I’m loving the reactions so far!

Yoo bro I love your reactions! You're just so good and kind! It's been a long time since I listened to this song and it's a shock for me to see how much he has improved haha! You will see it too as you go on with the journey! Moments album is an album he made in high school and released in 2010 (he hates that album haha) No name is a single he released between his third and fourth album (excluding Moments) He doesn't make much reference to being nameless like other things, but yeah, you're right! He definitely doesn't want to be in the spotlight and doesn't want to be a celebrity However, later he will say something similar to being a nameless. In fact he considers himself an Outcast (sorry for the spoiler ) Going forward you will surely see him paint a story and a narrative! I can't wait for the next reaction!
Well the outcast thing isnt something he necessarily want to be but he rather be that than fit in to the mold of a culture thats superficial n fake. But he will keep knocking on the door of the hip hop industry. " I was talkin' to the voices I rip out the drums of the industry's ears for tryin' to ignore me" - outcast "They don't invite me to the parties but I still arrive" - why And yeah I do believe he's been ignored in the industry. How come he's been making music for 6 years and has not once been invited to shade45? Every rapper has at least been there once to have a talk with Sway and they get a chance to freestyle... even Token been there! Heck mumble rappers been on there and made a complete ass of themselves. MGK started the whole Eminem beef bcuz he thought he was banned from there by em and it apparently affected him getting the exposure n opportunities that could've given him. And last year when he hit no1 album spot media started to sneaky taunt him as "christian rapper" or write him as "the eminem-sound alike" not to mention that rollingstones n NY times critics trashing him.. So he's right the industry has been heavily ignoring him and I guess "outcast" him bcuz he doesnt look/sound like all the other industry plants that follows gimmicks n formula. Therefore he's stamped himself as "Aight I'mma stay as an outcast then" He's also talked in the interview that some doesn't even consider his music to be hip hop bcuz he's beats is more of a cinematic sound.. which I find it ridiculous bcuz for once it wasn't the same generic hip hip beats but it was different with teal instruments in it.
@@emyf9197 Yeah man,you're right! He gave himself that definition because the industry and the world of hip hop ignores him. The thing is, what he does in his music is different from everything else and the normal world of hip hop. I think Nate is in a class of his own and he's actually fine with it. Many people admire Nate for this very reason, because he continues to remain himself,and as you said,he prefers to be an outcast rather than to fit into that world But I honestly don't know why so many people still criticize him or don't take him seriously. He is an amazing artist and deserves a little more respect. The media (as you said too) only see him as the "Christian rapper" or "the eminem-sound alike" when he's much more than that. I don't really think he wants to be a part of the hip hop industry because he "doesn't feel comfortable". For example in Why after saying "They don't invite me to the parties but I still arrive" he also said "Kick down the door and then I go inside Give off that "I do not belong here" vibe. " He Doesn't feel part of that world He understood his direction and accepted to be an outcast and will never change just to please more people or to fit more into that world Then the fact of the cinematic beats is honestly so ridiculous. Just because his beats are different from the norm doesn't mean they aren't good or he can't use them. NF is an amazing story teller and he has so may songs telling stories and painting pictures but u have to know that he likes to personify things and emotions just like in "mansion" and it just becomes awesome when you understand who he's talking about and get the meaning ❤️

You saying that it was hard to follow what he was saying because the flow was so good. I think I listened to this song like 10 times at work, half paying attention just cause I liked the song. Then I sat down and read the lyrics and then the whole song took on a whole new level (Not my native language so didn't catch a lot of it until I read it). It's just crazy how there are very little songs that you could "skip" Like you didn't mention Motivated and I think a reaction to that would be awesome because of the wordplay. Also, most of NF songs will have subtitles but you always want to watch the video because it is integral to the story. This song definitely has a theme. He is introducing himself as someone who has paid his dues, works harder than anyone, and has arrived. He says he is an artist and he is painting a Picasso if you are aware. He is creating a whole new lane in music and he is not a puppet on a string (i.e. not cussing, singing about girls, drugs etc. ) He likes to murder beats, eat MC's, is dangerous, and will come to the rap party even though he is not invited. I know I'm super late to the party you've been having with NF, but a lot of the things you like about him seem to stem from his religion. I'd love to see a video of you reacting to (and breaking down) his religious songs like; "I'll Keep On", "Oh Lord", "Destiny", "Lost In the Moment", "Can You Hold Me"... Now, I understand you aren't a preacher or a theologian, but your insight into his songs and videos make me think, even though I've been listening to him for years. Just like all your other videos, if you account for all the music as one piece of the life of an artist, the analysis will work, even though it's about religion. I can tell you love NF and this would be a really good way to dive into his music deeper.
I subscribed to your channel because I saw you were doig a reaction to NF- No Name and as a fan, I thought I'd give this a shot and i'm just glad to say that you got this close to understanding NF from your way of analysing his music. The way you started is just fine. First track I heard was Mansion when my daughter wanted me to listen to it. Soon as it started I was like, "you know I've told you to not listen to Eminem's hot garbage. I don't care if he has a song with a good message or not. It's like praising that one time that Charles Manson helped an old lady across the street. Shut it off." She's like, "...this isn't Mr. Melts-In-Your-Mouth-Not-In-Your-Hand." Been hooked ever since. Man is amazing. A few of his songs have really helped me through all this 💩 I've been going through the last few months.

Yeah you are right definitely right about him being a no name.He has a platinum album "Perception". The search is on the cusp of going platinum. He has a 5X platinum song called "Let you down". Multiple platinum songs like time,lie,if you Want love,why. His albums both perception and search were number 1 on the billboard charts. Even with all the accolades people don't know much about him. He has a very dedicated and huge fan base but everybody doesn't know who NF actually is.
The main reason I feel like NF dropped this song was just to show he can rap fast well. It’s like hey I can do that look tho INTRO, now that you know that ima do what I wanna do.
Loved the reaction, love what you pulled from the lyrics and your explanations. Couple suggestions, take them or ignore, no worries. Find a room to do this in without an echo, raise the volume of the music, and after pausing your video to discuss the lyrics go back 10 seconds before starting the song again. You may react to something that others didn’t pick up on and to hear you explain it and then hear it again will draw people in to understand and appreciate your point of view. Which is why we are all here.

for being new to NF you are well on your way to understanding the depth of lyrics and concepts and yes Fame is not high in his goals he relates it a bunch in his music ie. nameless or no name. I hate to spoil anything but keep going you will find many surprises along the way. Statement is another song he did which you randomly through out.
"Moments" album was his very first album, and it came out on his real name in 29. Nov. 2010. (so it was the 10th anniversary of that album came out, 3 days ago, on 29th November)

So funny story I had never heard of NF until I got Madden 16 I believe it was 16 this particular song was on the soundtrack and I never paid attention to it until I was making some adjustments to my team within the game this song happened to come on so I started listening to it then found the name of the song an artist and RU-vidd both been listening to him ever since thankful I happened to be making adjustments when this song came on
as he goes on to make music he does start to concentrate more one one topic with his albums. also no name was written in 2018 while this was written 2015. its not so much no name but more he likes to foreshadow his songs and once hes written them he likes to refer back to his past songs in his present songs
one example i really like is in no name he writes “fame call me im like how u doin’, hung up on em i aight ready for em i get back to them when i make album 4”. in his 4th album the search he writes a song called leave me alone. in it is a line that goes “ ‘member back in no name i said fame called, told you i hung up it kinda felt wrong, finally called em back we didnt talk long, he asked me how i been i sent them this song, yeah think he took offense he kind of seamed off, i texted him that night to ask what he thought, it took a couple days to get a response, but once he finally did he said this song sucks.”. the point is he doesn’t just write a song to write the song. he writes it so he can come back to it in the future and add his new experiences to it in such a unique way.
Do the song MOTIVATED! He has so much music you just need to dive in and listen to all of it! It's going to take forever if each time you do a reaction it's the first time you listen to it. Lol There's 3 intros, 1 outro, and a bunch of other must listen to songs! Motivated is all word play, I think you would enjoy that.
No name isn't any album but its a single. This song is actually been used on season 1 finale promo of empire it was really cool to see. But man he looked so young here😅 You'll actually see along the way tht he gets better with his writing n flow. His 4th album w song like returns his rhymes n writing is soo much better than the "just rap no chorus" song like statement from this first album. And he does sound like eminem a lot in his 2 first albums.. but he has found his own sound since then which is great.. I like when he just throws punches n bars with no chorus for 4 min straight.. I think he might drop 5th album early next year!
