I have 2 pairs of c17s. 16oz and 12oz. Love them. They are great gloves. Nobody talks about the 12oz version they are smaller, lighter, great small hand compartment and literally just as much protection as the 16oz version. Love them
Our company manufactures since long time we make a every fight boxing gloves and any related things .we are make .so you have interest so contact with me we are ready all products related fight 😊
I really like the comfort of my flys for sparring. Not so much for bagwork, i prefer my addispeed. Recently tried on the winning and are better all around id say. Your right on with your review
Hey guys I was just wondering what model of addisspeed is supposed to feel like the winning gloves! I have never had winning gloves but I have ring to cage c17 16 oz and then I just bought the superior 16 oz lace-ups and the ring the cage c-17s are a lace up also but I prefer the superior over the ring the cage! I was just wondering because I've heard that the Adidas speed feels like winning also so there's a lot of models out there I was just wondering if you could help narrow down thanks guys and I appreciate your videos -Chris
Fly sent me a free pair of their Superlace X gloves in 16oz. Theyre so soft my coach thought they were fakes or something. I come from Reyes and I am LOVING Fly.
@@Levi-ey8su Basically UPS messed with a delivery of a parcel with material from Fly. It took ages to arrive plus burocratic nightmare due to Brexit. People at fly compesated me with free equipment. They are top notch guys.
@@irragrams That's sick man, how're they holding up after a year? Looking to buy some new sparring gloves... Stuck between the RTC C17's, Rival Rs1's and a few others
Guys, I have so many pairs of various brand gloves including winning. In my opinion, I would say to use Cleto Reyes for bag works if u have enough budget. Reyes has fantastic protection for ur wrists and knockles. Also, u r going to experience insane feeling when u try on bag work!
Hy, I'm watching some of your older videos, your knowledge and teaching ability is insane. I'm wondering how did you come to learn all this, who was your coach/es? Thanks for the instructions
Hi Johnny can I ask how are the Necalli holding up? Also a suggestion to review: Elion Paris. Designed in France but made in Thai! Heard excellent things about em
Pro-mex or fairtex will run you 90-150$ for any size depending on model and they are just as good as any glove. Just get a reputable Mexican or Thai brand.
Hey expert boxing. Have you looked into superior sports? They have boxing gloves there and you need to look for those that are winning style. You will be able to tell by the Velcro strap. I'm told they're a very good alt to the winning gloves. Pls review them whenever you have a chance. I want to know your thoughts.
How do your gloves from TopBoxer compare as well? Winning gloves are undisputed #1, but compared to the R2C C-17 or Fly Superlaces, do you think TopBoxer could also be a good, maybe even better, alternative to the other Winning clones?
I actually prefer my TopBoxer 16s to my Winning 16s. The inner-most layer of memory foam on my Winnings doesn't wrap all the way around my knuckles. It ends mid-way between my big knuckles and smaller knuckles, and aren't comfortable. Now this could be a defect, no idea, it was the only pair of Winnings i felt like spending money on. Top Boxer has extremely similar padding, without the issue of the inner layer of foam. Top Boxer also has a better velcro model than Winning, with more wrist support.
I know I’m a year late but from my understanding TopBoxers are more of punchers style gloves like Grants, very different from the pillow style Winning gloves but still good quality
@@isaac821i wouldn’t call it a punchers gloves personally, the harder u push down the more it cushions the space between you’re knuckles, you can’t push all the way through to feel the knuckles easily
Hey Johnny, just got my Necallis recently. Their quality's great. But the hand compartment is so wide even when I'm wearing handwraps, that there's a hollow distance (probably 1cm) between my knuckles on the inside and the padding (if you get what I mean). Are your Necallis this way too at 1st? Thnx a lot Johnny
@@expertboxing tried it, my wrist couldn't go further. Apparently it's been an issue with Necalli (or so I've read around on the net)? Let's see if the shape will mold into the shape of my hands after a couple weeks.
I think I know what the problem is... The padding is waaaay too thin (the thinnest I've seen so far) hence the huge gap between my knuckles and the padding. I think normally in other gloves there would be more padding for more protection and to fill in the gap. My knuckles are quite sore after 5 rounds. Anyways just thought I'd share! Thnx Johnny.
Have you tried Onx, Hitnmove? Those 2 are the most solid gloves I had. Fly is not anything special, design is good for some who likes soft glove. Winning is amazing, it is winning but for me hitnmove is almost up there. People know me at the gym as hitnmove ambassador, they must pay me for telling people about them
I haven't tried those 2 and don't see anything that makes them so special against current top tier gloves. Onyx is a cool idea. Hit N Move, I know is made by a very passionate owner.
Hey coach, I'm having problems with some lonsdale 14 oz boxing gloves. My fingers (not knuckles) always seem to hurt while punching. Is it the model of the glove itself because I feel I can't make a proper fist inside it. It is 14 oz but the actual meat of the glove seems to big and fluffy almost, not at all hard on the outside. I believe the specific model is the lonsdale club sparring gloves. Thanks in advance.
@@kaisalis7895 Sent my FFs back as soon as I got them. They were stiff and small in comparison to my R2C - 17s. My TopBoxers felt waaaaaayyy better than the FFs. Different than R2C but similarly nice.
I can't understand why people use 12 or 10 gloves for heavy bag training, I think training with lower weight gloves is not helpful for sparring with 16 oz gloves. so I use 2 gloves with 16oz one for sparring and one for heavy bag, could you tell me the benefit of using lower weight gloves for heavy bag??
You fight with gloves in that weight. People like the speed they get with lower gloves. I personally like using lower gloves because I like to feel my power more. I also don’t like how 16 ounces feel on the heavy bag. I still use heavier gloves sometimes or I add weight to my small gloves.
people don’t always want to use 16oz on bag, tbh i don’t think it’s the best, you don’t get as much feedback.. but it’s all preference, also depends how much you actually spare, some ppl don’t as much.. people like using different weights for different stuff
@@expertboxing Ok, first you should not be calling your viewers clowns its unprofessional, the viewers are the ones who generate revenue for your channel. Second, your video topic was about Best Alternatives to Winning Gloves right? I'm just providing you a brand who makes a Winning Style glove that has a pretty good reputation in terms of quality. Maybe live up to your channels name and be the "expert" and do the research and keep an open mind of other brands that are considered great alternatives to Winning gloves..
@@expertboxing Bro he was recommending an above decent pair of gloves that are at a great price on the market. How dare you threaten to delete somones comment for trying to recommend a good clone to review when your literally comparing knockoffs yourself in this very video? (Ring to Cage) u imbecile. Were u born with a dam mental disability or something? Your comment actually frustrates me with how hypocritical you just made yourself out to be. Both Csquared boxing and Fit2Box channel did a review on them so whats your problem maggot? Wake up on the wrong side of the bed? Well no one cares. Very unprofessional on your behalf to just flat out call your viewers clowns. Looks like ur the dumb dumb here. (Disliked and unsubbed)
@@expertboxing Yes. I have both and the Superior gloves fit nicely and feel better hitting the bag/pads - also they are the cheaper glove out of the two. From my experience the C17 puts my hand in an unnatural position which makes hitting the bag/pads awkward.
Nice gloves thank you for what you do I just can't agree with some of the terminology you use when you say newshcool Irish Mexican and when you say that winning is the most copied glove it's the Mexican style that I have been able to find easier over the years and all boxing gloves are punchers gloves yes some have more padding than others but when it comes to pro fight gloves I think brand name is just preference as if you get punched you will feel it not matter the brand and yes I know Mexican glove normally have horse hair padding which does bottom down easier but when wearing 8 Oz or 10 Oz gloves any brand will make little difference remember boxing gloves are worn to protect your hands not the other guy again cheers and blessings
Couldn't read all that you wrote...but yeah, Winning is the most copied glove of all time. Probably the last 30 years most people copied either Winning, or copied companies that copied Winning. Maybe today...the Mexican glove design is getting more popular but doesn't come close to the amount of Winning-influenced ripoffs.
@@expertboxing ya man I mean the freedom glovesv they have are some of the best I've used for wrist support and pure boxing. Definitely not the best for Muay Thai or bag work but to me best gloves I've used for sparring out there
@@expertboxing I have not! I might check it out because I'm eventually going to use these for bag gloves when the foam gets too broken down even though they are 18 Oz. I think the next pair of gloves I'm going with for sparring and pads are going to be the onx Trevor Whitman gloves. I'll definitely give the ones you mentioned a look
i dont get how people say fly is good and it literally looks like shit lol, look at how floppy and cheap they look wow, 2:00 you are literally able to twist them....no wrist support at all
when you have a pair in person, you’ll understand for yourself. or well if you hate the video already then don’t bother and get another brand that appears better to you
@@expertboxing youve down talked other brands for feeling or even looking cheap..yet those look and clearly feel cheap by the way you twist them with out effort.. if they are that soft and have no wrist support like you say....is it just because of the hype around them and the price that you say they are good? How do you justify 350 dollar gloves that dont even have good wrist support.
mate I have a question for a dream scenario. Which gloves do you would use and which do you acutually use (not speaking about brands). Let me tell my story first: First of all, I am super heavyweight so my amateur competion gloves are 12oz The most important thing ist he safety for maximum training, someone who is injured your partner or yourself cant train at the highest levelt hats why Sparring: 18 oz with extra soft padding and maximum protection (as I said safety, but also conditioning and avoid 20oz or higher that I avoid bad habbits bc oft he to heavy glove) Sparring: 14oz with extra soft padding when we come more near to competion Pad/Mits/ bag work on speed & accuarcy: 12oz mid to hard + protective (bc of competion weight/sitze) and mix it up with 10oz hard (for more speed training + double endball/cobra) & 14 oz hard padding ( for better conditioning ) but its still near tot he competion ones so I get a good form. (a study said thats the most effectiv train to use 20% + - bc to less or to much weight will make your form bad) Bag gloves: Which one you would take?
Initial impression is why promote clones? It seemed a disservice to Winning. Then again, the strength of the Yen is based on copying and then improving. So in turn maybe it helps to keep Winning from resting on their laurels. But the fear is cheaper knock-offs could put quality manufacturers out of business.
Clones exist for people who can't afford the real deal. And the real deal will always be around for as long as their target market (pros) keep buying them. Go to the US and Mexico and you see Winning nearly everywhere.
Not even close. But they’re pretty solid economy gloves. They die about 3-4 months down the road. I buy a couple Superior pairs a year to save mileage on my Winnings.
Would you still say the C17s are the best at the 100 dollar price point? Are there gloves in the 100 - 160 dollar range that you think are better or on par?
