I am a big headlight fanatic and I have owned lots of different LED and HID setups. From supernova V4 to GTR lightning to morimoto. In my opinion one of the best bulbs that I have is by Phillips. Phillips is often OEM and the quality is absolutely superior. I have the Philips X-tremeUltinon LED lights and they probably the best lights I have ever owned. The beam pattern is damn near perfect and not blinding. The only bad thing I can say about the Phillips bulbs is that they require a little bit more set up with an allen key. Where is some other cheaper bulbs don't do that you just plugged them in and go. But the Phillips requires a little bit of adjusting and set up but well worth it

@@petes67bird yeah man the Phillips lights are really good man on almost every way. I am still running them on my vehicles today. And I have had zero issues. I have bought other high-end headlights such as the ones that I listed in my other comment and they all died prematurely. I don't know why maybe I just have bad luck. But the Philips ones seem to be built like tanks. They are running Non-Stop whenever my car is running the Phillips lights are on. Thousands and thousands and thousands of hours at least. And they have not faded or shown any signs of dying. Like I said the only bad thing about the Philips bulbs is that they are a little bit weird to set up as you have to do it with an allen key and stuff. They are a lot more complicated to set up another bulbs I've gotten.

@@youandiryan I've had a similar experience with Sngl. I put a set of Sngl leds in my truck over 7 years ago. I delivered pizza 6 nights a week for over a year. Never had a single problem. I can't believe how reliable they have been. Comerical grade.

@NateSVT To answer your question no. Not a problem with the set I have. They are the older "110 watt" units. The silver ones with the flat front and the double quad set of LMZ7 led chips. Not the domed front. Not the newer "150 watt" units. The black ones.

Can you please do reliability test as well? Have them all run for 10 hours, 1 hour rest, 10 hours, 1 hour rest etc. And measure light output drop (%) after 1000 hours. Also report anything that fails :)

Yes I'd like more info on light degradation as well. Heard led light bulbs don't maintain the same light output after multiple use

I've had Diode Dynamics SL1 bulbs in my 2018 Colorado Z71 for a year and a half. Recently one of the bulbs got noticeably dim, so I took a picture of the beams up against a garage door and sent it to customer service. They got back to me within an hour and sent me a brand new pair no charge within a couple of days (3 year warranty on these). I also contacted them early on regarding excessive radio static (a side effect of aftermarket LED headlights), and they recommended ferrite clips. I went that route and it pretty much fixed the problem. So DD isn't the brightest based on this testing, but I'd recommend them for their prompt and friendly customer service, product knowledge, and the fact that they stand behind their products. Plus made in the USA, always a fan of that. Thanks for the video, HR!

Just installed a pair of v.4 in my 2017 Sonata projectors, and absolutely love them. Well built, bright, good beam pattern, and the onboard CANBUS is a space saver.

OK, so I went to the website, after watching the videos for reverse lights, found Auxito Bulbs for my 2012 Silverado. The light output is amazing! I have several neighbors who go fishing in the early morning hours. I showed them the light output from my truck. Mentioned that you could use these bulbs for backing up boats into the water and probably see better. They bought some and told me that their night vision is much improved and don't have to worry about missing the boat ramp in the dark!! Headlight Revolution you have done what needed to be "seen". I actually just had one if Novsight bulbs go out after 10 months. Could have been a fluke, but I would say I'm a little under average with usage of the bulbs.

Wish they would do more comparisons with the a dual beam bulbs. That said I am running the S V.4 and am very happy with them. But the H13 seems to be the hardest one to get a good beam pattern on.

I am delighted to report my lights now work PERFECTLY! I can't believe I talked myself into spending so much for replacement bulbs on a 12 year old truck. But not being able to see every time someone with blue headlights meets me head on is an intolerable situation. Now resolved! Thank you again for your exemplary service. I've had a pair of Novsight H4 for two years and they've worked incredibly well. Daily driving at night and long overnight journeys occasionally. Love them, just got a new pair for another car.

2019 Toyota Tacoma Off-Road. Originally had Diode Dynamics SL1’s. But I got the GTR Ultra Series 2 in the mail today. They are way brighter. Definitely worth it. For Fog Lights got to go with Baja Designs though.

Trulux Black Series LED: I've used these for the last 2 years. Saved me many times on deer and moose strikes on the hwy. Bright and reliable. I put 60,000 to 70,000 km a year on for work. I see all the weather and animals, live in Saskatchewan Canada. Would like to see you do a test on these lights

You guys should test high beam outputs too, especially on H4 style bulbs where the high and low beam are in one singular bulb. Also, I use Auxbeam myself, but the style I have is considerably different than the one you tested. Perhaps consider that all these manufacturers have differently styles of the same bulb socket

Thank you for taking the guesswork out of LED headlights. There’s so many options out there, it’s hard to know which one is the best. I want Safety overall with looks second. Brightness and projection are important to me. I am looking for a great LED projection headlight for my 2015 Ford F-150 5.0 truck. Thanks again.

The Nineo Gen2 is practically identical to the S-V.4 at a fraction of the cost. They also omitted the Hikari Ultra which is $80, and is a just as good as any of these $200+ bulbs. Prove me wrong.

Its not about the pricetag. Its about how you judge the build quality. There is never a direct relation between quality and price. You certainly pay a lot of money for branding. Learn how to spot the right item for the right price. Never go by the highest price alone.

Alright, almost convinced in buying the GTR ultra series 2. But to fully convince me you guys would need to test it against the VLED Micro Extreme (not evolution) and SNGL Projector - specific version, in a projector housing.

Being in the market for a set of led bulbs for my truck, I've been looking all over RU-vid for reviews and comparisons. After one review after another, my eyes are starting to cross. You guys have done some great reviews/comparisons! In my search I've come across a couple that I haven't seen you review and I was hoping you might have an opinion on them, in case I missed it. I have the H7 katana. Same base, fan, LEDs, braided cable, connections on said cable, and same driver box. Specs are identical to v.4 as well. And they're under $50. Obviously made at the same Chinese plant but with a different branding slapped on them.

I used the F3 for 6 months and it never failed on me, but the metal discolored some. I replaced it with the newer X9 model two months ago and it hasn't discolored.

I got my GTR2 Ultra from you guys a couple of weeks back. Overall I’m blown by how bright it is, the only thing that bothers me is the outer edge beam pattern that goes slightly up in my reflector headlight that lits up street signs like Christmas tree 😅

Sometimes you will get that little bit of light flare when you use LEDs in a OEM reflector vehicle, but they should be minimal! @@harryberry474 I’m talking about Ford’s stock LED housings with LEDs installed from factory except changing the bulb, comes as an option with higher end models 2015+. I don’t personally have one so I was just curious. My car has a plastic shutter to block light at a preset cut off so no matter what you do you can’t blind someone with your brights off, I’ve never had an issue blinding anyone.

I have these and sell these online. Ive been using them for over 10 months now no issues at all. I still havent got a single return back from these bulbs. They are bright and have a great beam pattern. And they have not changed color. There are copy cat suppliers that sell similar maybe thats what he used as mine are x9 not f3. F3 is the one that they are usuing

Same design but not the same. X9 sold by a great supplier. Havent had issues with the x9 i had in my personal vehicles. The f3 is very similar but sold by many different suppliers.

I had Purple HID's that dimmed after about 6 months...FINALLY replaced them with LED's cuz LED's last for-friggin-ever...ballast/converter on the Auxbeams went bad after 3yrs, and seemed dim after 2 yrs...currently trying to get something that doesn't suck, even if it means finally not being a cheapskate! So looking forward to your research, and thanks!

I have tested them, they aren't any brighter than halogen, came in at 480LUX on my test wall and I use the same lux meter as shown in the video.

I have had Opt7 in my truck for 2 years and the only complaint with them is the plug and play resistors kept giving me trouble, bought and installed with the GTR lighting canbus module and I have had no problems, when one goes I will be making the switch to super nova

Yes, we chose the ones we did because the Hikari Ultra LED actually performed WORSE than the Eye of Megatron in most cases.

If this was just a test lab I would be satisfied with it performed worse but sometimes a vendor persuade the outcome of test.

@@HeadlightRevolution It Canada it's $50 for the Eye Of Megatron and $120 for the Ultra. I'm very disappointed the Ultra was worse than the Eye Of Megatron considering that I have installed a few of the Eye Of Magetron on various Honda's and Toyota's and they are very good for the price but I was expecting the Ultra to be even better. What a waste of money that would have been buying the Ultra. Thank you for being honest about the test. Love your videos.

I've purchased the Hikari Eye of Megatron LED's before, and even though this shows that they are only 48% brighter than baseline, I don't think you can beat them for the price. They were plenty bright. Only downside is they last about a year.

There isn't any information on the Extremes and they come in an awesome 5K color. I want to see how they compare to the GTR Ultra 2s to see which ones I should purchase. Vled is claiming 4,500 actual lumens per bulb.

I have CSP minis for my low beams, and S.V-4's for my high beams. Excellent products! The only thing I didn't like about the S.V-4's was the set screw to clock the bulb. For some reason, none of my allen keys would fit properly. The 1.5mm on the CSP minis fits just fine. Those are a superb package. One of these days, I'll slap those bulbs into some PIAA 520 reflectors.

I agree I would like to see them. I have a set of DDM Tuning 55W Hids that were bought in 2010 for my Prelude that I daily and they still work and look new. They made extremely high quality products back in the day.

I have a different Hikari bulb called the Titanova in my Tundra, it's ludacrisly bright and in my housings throws further and is much brighter on low than any high beams I've seen. A bit pricy at 130 but you get what you pay for.

If your DRL also functions as a high beam. You would want to get an LED with a switchback design. Morimoto makes one but it's pricey at $150. Otherwise, whatever LED you get will simply stay on as DRL, with no high beam function.

Count me in taking out my new $50 LED bulbs and putting back the $15 /pair old school halogen, because of awful pattern and worse light. Projector headlights aren't great with LEDs, if I would change again, I'd go for HID bulbs.

Yup, in the video it looks “pure white”. But in real life, they all have a tinge of blue to them. The only company that produces a warm white LED at 4000K is PIAA Hyper Arros. I have them in my fogs and they are perfect. No ricer boy blue tinge to them at all. More like a whiter and brighter halogens.

@headlightrevulution I ran thru lots of LEDS. Right now I’m running p6 LEDS over 3 years .It has Phillips zes lumiled chip set 55w. But now it’s time to upgrade. But I’m not sure this Gtr ultra2 is actually brighter than p6 LEDs. Can you compare it to p6 led ?

May I ask something... I think you made a mistake on VLEDs micro evolution. You write 570LUX, but compared to the stock 190LUX that's not a 200% brighter but, 300% Since the halogen is always 100% Edit: I see this mistake is all over the results, how do you calculate this? Thanks for your time:)

I 100% agree with this law, I also think tailgating should be taking into effect as well. But I won’t hold my breath for this to be a law. But imo if you’ll tailgate me for over 5 miles and don’t back off with a few light brake checks… I’ll slam on my brakes to make you pay attention and don’t get all butt hurt if I do this!!!

Are all projector headlights the same? I have the morimotos on a 2017 chevy tahoe ls, and they don’t look that bright. Feels like you should open your eyes more while driving at night.

No you have different projectors halogen projectors and HID projectors. Halogen projectors are terrible what you most likely have. The reflective coating is anything but reflective. You need to upgrade the projectors to HID and get an HID kit.

The H11 LED from headlight experts sucked in the low beam projector housing on our 2018 Tacoma. Love the S V.4 LED H11s we got from you. Need at least 2 more sets, maybe 3 (multiple vehicles) and a set of high beams for the Tacoma.

I want to upgrade my wife's headlights to something much brighter. She has a 2017 Lincoln MKC. The bulbs appear to be a D3. I don't see an LED replacement for them. Any help would be appreciated. I picked up some GTR LEDs for my F-150 and absolutely LOVE them. Most of the roads around me here in NC do not have street lights so bright headlights are a must.
