I have been using Tarte products since Maureen first appeared on QVC. I used to love almost all of their products, and still use some of them. Unfortunately, in the last 5+ years, they’ve started going more after the under 25 market, and moving away from the women that built their brand. In doing so, they’ve gotten rid of a lot of their best iconic products!
I love that Tarte has minis you can try out. I tried the Sea Foundation, loved it and bought the full size. Tried Mini Founcealer and didn't like it, but if I'd spent full size money that would have been a problem. I have now ordered some more minis including the Hydro concealer. Shape Tape just is too drying for me.
Stephanie, this is my first time visiting your channel! I really like the way you communicate and present the information, and as you noted, these types of Brand-specific videos are so helpful ❤️ I recently got a mini of the Tarte Maracuja Balm in Orchid and I LOVE it! It feels so nice, it is the perfect “nude” for me, and I feel like it stands up pretty well too. I also got minis of their Maneater mascara and 12 hour powder blush. So far I love the brand! Ont he note of eyeshadows, I find all of their pallets very attractive because as you say it’s wearable and it has everything you need to create a complete look without grabbing your other pallets to supplement. When I swatch it in store however, the shades seem to blend away to nothing on my skin. Can you provide any tips on using the pallets, or “things to know “as far as the formula goes? Is the formula really different from other formula do you use, or is it just a weird fluke?
Super informative!! I know these videos take forever but it’s perfect when someone is looking into tarte ❤️ I love a lot of their products and am looking forward to more of their staple products to release
I got very excited when I saw you had done this video - and I loved even mote that it wasn't a sponsored video. Tarte were the first brand that seriously got me into makeup (although it was Laura Geller got actually got me interested). At one point I was buying much from Tarte, but over the years I have been spending less and less, although I do buy from time to time. Some real fails for me from the brand would be the Shape Tape (it was far too drying under my eyes), the Lip Quench lip balms (I also found these incredibly drying on my lips) and the Light, Camera, Lashes mascara (far too wet of a formula). A few products I absolutely love are the stick foundation, the eyeshadow palettes, the Maneater mascara and the now retired Silk eyeliner. I absolutely loved that eyeliner, I have never found anything as good as it.
I feel like Tarte doesn’t get a lot of hype anymore. People call it “boring” but it’s one of my favorite brands along with Bareminerals. I like a more natural look and that’s what these brands cater to. I’d love to see you do more videos like this. Maybe for my other favorite brand? Lol
Another great video! I used to wear both the Amazonian Clay foundation (not stick) and Rainforest of the Sea. I really liked both but have moved on as I've aged and my needs are different. I could never use Shape Tape concealer, too thick and dry for my under eyes. Luke resting his head on your desk was TOO ADORABLE 💕If I was doing what you're doing (talking to viewers) and my Charlee was sitting where Luke is, she'd be in my face like she is when I talk on the phone. She wants my attention directed at her not the phone.😅 So, Luke is a very well mannered little guy! 😘
Tartelette In Bloom is still my go-to palette when I want to look nice and don’t have time to spend redoing something if it goes wrong. It’s so dependable and easy to use! I just got the mini cream bronzer and I agree with you - it’s great!
The undereye maracuja oil cream. I live in the Netherlands and have to either import from the US or drive to France to buy it, which I do. It is the only undereye cream with this leve of moisturizing power that does not disturb your make up.
I was so happy to see Luke! I miss seeing him sleep, stretch and look totally adorable on the bed. It was cuteness overload when he used your desk as a pillow! 🐕 ❤
Luke is always welcome! He makes me happy. I want a dog so bad. I have a cat and she’s 19 and it would scare her. Not fair for her. Luke is tired. I had no idea they had a stick foundation, I’ll never try it cause I don’t think I’ll like it.
Hey Stephanie! I love your content! I have been watching you for years! I am newer to the RU-vid community but I am bound and determined to bring more content to the beauty platform for women over 30. We need more realness and transparency about what really works. Love your channel! Thank you!
I LOVE Tarte BB Tinted Primer. Says primer, but covers like a foundation. No matter how many foundations I try, I always go back to it. It’s one of my Holy Grail products.
Loved this video all about one brand, hope to see more. I’ve never heard anyone talk about that concealer, I’m ordering it now. Going to watch your concealer video.🥰
Hello Luke! ❤️. He’s so handsome. Stephanie thank you I just put the mini bronzer in my Sephora cart. I didn’t know about this. Just received the new tart palette. Love it. Thank you!!
Love their minis so much. I will pay more for a mini just so I do not waste a lot of product. I have tons of makeup and minis are perfect. I wish others would do them. So smart. I bought the cc concealer and bronzer because of you and love them. New blushes are coming out!
I love minis too. Tarte really is good about this. When I finish my Shape Tape it will be another mini because I find the regular size dries out before I’ve finished it. Also feel the same way about mascaras drying out before the tube is done. The smaller sizes are easier to organize in a shallow vanity drawer. Almost everything I have bought in the last year has been a mini due to buying online instead of sampling in store. More companies are doing them, but they all need to do mini foundations. That would save my pocketbook!
I’m LOVING the brand focus reviews!!! Question- how does the Tarte under eye corrector compare to the Becca? The Becca under eye corrector is my holy grail - I use it every single day! Am now on the hunt for something to replace it with the sad news of Becca closing😔. I do have lots of time because I have a fresh one now and immediately ordered one last night when I heard the news and they last forever. But hearing you give such a good review of the Tarte one makes me think maybe😊🤞 I never knew about those single shadows - they are something I would love so will definitely check them out - thank you! One of my all time fav Tarte products is their vitamin C. I swap back and forth between that one and the Timeless. Thanks so much Stephanie for all of the yummy hidden gems to try! Xo Tammy Roy 🇨🇦
I enjoyed this video. I love the Tarte stick foundation too. I try other things and always come back and I am much older 64. Love their eye palettes and blushes on this old skin LOL. Enjoy your videos!
If you search my channel page in the search bar above the videos or search YT with my name and Tarte stick or something similar, my review will come up. It's been a while but you can see it on the skin! :)
Best toner/ liquid exfoliant I have ever used after 40 years of never finding one is The Ordinary glycolic toner all my texture and discoloration went away and even pores became pretty much invisible!
Great video!! I wanted to mention two Tarte Items I really enjoy and really love. The Tarte BB tinted treatment 12 hr primer is great. Lasts a long time on my skin and looks like skin not heavy. Also love the new Shape tape creamy formula. It isn’t as dry or heavy as the original formula. I found myself no longer using the original formula anymore because I found it a bit heavy. Once the creamy version came out I tried it and loved it . Thanks again for your video and thoughts .
Love the color splash lipsticks and h20 glosses. I own a few tarte brushes and they’re actually really good quality! I have a couple foundation buffer brushes and concealer brushes, I like them. I’m using the maneater mascara right now and the lights camera action mascara is good. They released new cream blushes that look good. There’s a lot of good products
You changed my eye game with that CC 🙌 I have banned any and all concealers🚫 I don't care if high med low...NO! Tarte CC ALL DAY BABY ❤❤ and if I want a brighter UE I use a lighter foundation. Concealer is just too thick. Thanks girl!
I bought the Tarte concealer based on your recommendation. It has helped me rid myself of dark circles! I also use Tarte’s Shape Tape religiously, along with an Elf concealer sponge to apply (that Risa recommended). It has made application easier.
I LOVE that first bronzer. I got the mini, and those things last a long time! Also, your timing was perfect with this video. I was getting ready to dive into more Tarte products.
This past black Friday and cyber Monday they were offering great deals, but they ran out of products. 2 days later when the Sale was over, all of the products were back.
In terms of skincare Tarte’s Vitamin C (Yputh Code) Serum is fantastic. It works very well without the hefty price tag of other Vitamin C formulations.
I am so happy that I purchased the Breezy Cream bronzer after seeing your glowing review! I just saw on the Sephora app they are launching cream blushes in the same range, and I am beyond excited to try those as well. Now I need to order the Juicy palette! Thank you for the fabulous video!
I found this super interesting as some of the products I hadn't heard of before. Thank goodness they created the Juicy palette - I think the release of the palette (and Mel Thompson raving about it 😉) has really put the spotlight back on the brand. 🌸💗🌸
I really want to try their new stick concealer. QVC is the only place that is selling it but it sold out pretty quickly esp in a few shades. Tarte is really one of my favorite brands so thanks for the video.
Love this video bc tarte is my holy grail brand!! But we can't forgot the amazing lights camera lashes, maneater retractable eyeliner and the clay liquid foundation!! Love tarte
Would love to see the same on Benefit. I enjoy many of my Tarte products. Didnt see them mentioned here. I do use the Tarte loose powder Amazonian foundation but nothing has come close to replacing my Hello Flawless powder foundation. I used it for years from when it came out to when it was discontinued. I have tried so many since.
Of all of the higher end eyeshadows I've ever used, I find Tarte the easiest to work with. I often feel out of the loop when I say how much I love Tarte eyeshadows, but I do!
I love the lipstick! It’s so comfortable and just easy to wear. I also still use Tartelette in Bloom regularly. On the products I’ve tried, I agree with you. 💜
My current favorite Tarte product is the Maracuja Miracle Mist Setting Spray. I received it in a Boxycharm box a while ago and I've reordered it since. It prevents my makeup from ending up on the inside of mask! Nothing else I've tried works!
You mentioned so many of my favorites as well! The Maneater palette is hands down my favorite for all of the reasons you mentioned. I also love the CC concealer and the hydrating balm/gloss is my go to when I want more than straight lip balm, but not much more. If I could only use one brand Tarte would be it.
I love the clay blush! It's even good on older skin. I love the toasted palette. I only wish they didn't have a fragrance....but I'll continue to use it in my rotation!
Yes I love love Tarte’s eyeshadow palettes and the small metallic shades. Just fabulous. I have never tried the lip products may have to give those a go. Thanks for your videos!
I have more dry skin and the Clay stick foundation works great for me however not in the summer. I find it too soft of a formula that doesn’t hold up in heat but it’s good other times of the year. Best stick I’ve found is the Hourglass Vanish stick
I really enjoyed this great video. Saw a few things to try. They a some kind of h20 serum or cream for a while that I liked a lot. Their eye shadows and blushes with Amazonian clay are great and I like the sweet girl that runs the co. Would love to see Becca before they go out of business so we can stock up. , Clarins they are really underated, how about Shisedio, Too Faced, Huda
Is the Target corrector more moisturizing than the Bobby Brown? TIA❤️ Sure do want the Juicy palette 👍🏼❤️🥰 I find the Bobby Brown want to be too drying I also tried the pixie same problem-I’m about ready to go for the CT -But if the Tarte one is creamy i’ll try that first-
It’s also on sale at Macy’s for $29 plus a free gift! 🎁 So I broke down despite my reaction to the scent. They would make great gifts if I can’t wear them.
This was really good, appreciate these reviews. I love the CC corrector, I have a terrible time with concealers, with over 60 skin, I have tried every brand but I use this as my concealer. (It wasn't available for a couple of years and I panicked!) Also favor their eye shadow palettes for color & wear.
I came to this video to see if you had any thoughts on the creamy shape tape because bi have heard of other like it. I like you have dry eyes but I also have more wrinkles and am ways trying to find a concealer that doesn't make my old eyes look worse. Love your videos. Thanks!
Been wearing the Amazonian Clay BB tinted moisturizer for many years. Not much attention to that product but I love it just like Stephanie loves the stick foundation.
Hands down Tarte in the bloom beautiful, it's the number one I reach for my clients as a MUA for bride/editorial. Beautiful pigmentation. Love tarte and like you say they're expert in eyeshadows another one I really enjoy it's their face primer I like to use it in dry skin works well. But I don't like their liquid matte lipstick sooo dry I don't like the texture. In the other side their "Sugar Coat" liquid lipstick from Sugar rush with sooo velvety and soft and long lasting. love it. And other product, like Shape tape, the sunskissed lipstick faves.
Yes tartelette in bloom is my favorite and I love my tartelette toasted it was my first higher end pallet. Yes the blushes are great. I'm still dieing to try the undereye corrector.
I just got two new cream blushes from Tarte off QVC, I can’t wait to try them- they are in the same packaging like the cream bronzer so I have high expectations! :)
Love the tarte Amazonian clay full coverage foundation. No one gives it any love, but I bought it after reading reviews and I really like it. Gives me good coverage but still looks natural.
I’ve found it mixes really nicely with a moisturiser to sheer it out on better skin days too - which is great because it gives you all those skincare benefits all day and stops the skin getting dry ☺️
Omg..those lipsticks were horrible..so drying and felt like my lips were gonna crack because they were so dry. The bloom pallette is a no fail pallette..one of my faves!
