Bought a new e-bike, my first one. Three weeks later had a flat tire. Had to hassle with pushing it home two miles and changing the back tire- and it's not as easy a manual bike. The tires that came with this thing have really thin rubber. A sliver of glass cut a gash. Yeah, I'll never again have cheap tires without liners.

I used a screwdriver...still do in a pinch. But butter knife maybe better.

Why don't you just pre- install these at the factory? Doesn't everyone want puncture resistant tires?....since these bikes are made for off-road use/hunting.

I bought a Mule bike this summer and it came with these rolled up in the box, but the comments say they are pre-installed... Also should have shown re-inflating the tires in this video.

The liners help very much it's the best thing I've tried but I still bet sticker flats. We have these evil stickers called goat heads and they find a way.

You can overlap. If you get wobble a little bit then you might need to adjust.

Hi, i'd like to know the (approximate...) weight of these liners, i remember checking on google but didn't really get an idea how heavier the wheels become (so far i have a non-electric one, and won't want to go tubeless right now) in fact, i was browsing around when i found your video (cool) thanks :)

Are these applicable with 35c tyre width gravel bikes?? And if so, in terms of psi, i run 40 psi both tires with it. Do i have to change my psi when having these liners?

The ones we have here are for 4 inch width tubes. And for PSI, you can take it up to 40 but that is pretty high pressure for fat tires. We usually run ours around 15-20 psi.

I bought a liner brand called "Zefal". In their instructions that came with the liner and on their RU-vid channel, they recommend shortening the liner so that there is a 2 cm / one inch gap between the two ends of the liner when installed in the tyre. I wonder why?? What is the problem with overlapping the liner a few inches? 🤔

My store overlapped it about twenty centimeters - and i just got a puncture only two days later !!

@rechtschreib-exorzist8936 - Where in the tyre did the puncture occur? Was it through the protective strip, or was it at an unprotected spot? For my bike I got puncture proof tyres, puncture proof tube and this protective strip overlapped about 10 cm. I think the puncture proof tyres make the difference. Any other layers of protection will help. So first, get puncture proof tyres. And if you prefer, add the protective strip and puncture proof tube in that order.

@@ToxicVaccines_HivHoax I don´t know where the puncture happened unfortunately; the guy who fixed it wasn´t there then i got it back. Another expert in another shop said, that´it´s very important the tape has the correct width

Do you need to cut it or is having it overlap OK? Because I have an Ebike and run the armadillos on it and my back tire wore near the cords by the rim. It has disc brakes so there is no way anything touched it. I am questioning whether the anti-puncture device caused a different kind of tire failure.

You can over lap it. Probably running to low of air pressure.

@@johnpossum556 - does it look serrated ? , as like the distance of 1/4 '' to 1'' distance from the next visible spot on the side wall ? if so then try trimming the anti-puncture device on both sides at 3/4'' intervales [ in length from the next one, they don't have to be long in depth only 3/8'' deep ] . . . all the way around , in the design of a triangle.

You see those holes/recesses inside the rim? I want to use a colored liner to add effect to the 'holes'. Is it possible to insert tire liners in there. Looks like there's another liner or sealer in the way. Can that be moved back and a colored liner inserted over it?

no. it would separate from the tire, because there is nothing to keep it pressed against it.

@@bakcou I ve heard by many users that tire liners slide inside the tyre and eventually the edges puncture the inner tube. Does that happen?

Have you tried sticking a sharp object in tape to see if it comes through. I bet you didn't there is not such a tape that will stop puctures unless it was very thin steel

This isn't tape this is a flexible plastic liner.

Tires in general are very out dated, they need to roll out those honeycomb tires worldwide already.

Absolute worst way to install a tire liner ever. Those who do not take off the tire, clean out the tire of any debris, clean around the bead, then apply a strip of double stick tape on the middle of the liner that touches the tire (not the tube), makes sure the liner is not folded or uneven or pinching the tube is doing it wrong!!!!!
