In the coaching where I study, there are also students who are unable to gear up because of job, or college pressure. Sometimes I feel like I have kept my both feet on two different boats
It's soooo relatable, I was also preparing alongside college and it gets overwhelming with the pressure of getting placed and what not. I'd just say try prioritizing. Most students try managing their time and hence keeping their feet in both the boats. I'd instead suggest to let go of one boat that matters less to you. For example, I let go of the placement and academic (last year) boats. Because they mattered less than CAT. I was focused on paddling the CAT boat in full swing in my last year, especially during this time of the year. And when that paid off, everything else didn't matter anymore. Even if it had not worked out, I could have found a job later.
Hi, please reply. What should I do in such a scenario ? Are the free resources excel sheet provided by you sufficient for excelling CAT as I have heard Arun Sharma's books are the best for it. So does your sheets covers all the concepts and levels of questions from the Arun sharma's books or do we also need to follow some materials in addition to it. I am a working 2023 engineering graduate currently and I have lesser time for preparing so, I am in dilemma to whether give the 2023 attempt or not as I have not started with the preparation yet or should I focus only on the 2024 attempt?
There are students who shared that they relied only on that excel sheet to prepare. But, whether or not it is enough varies from person to person. I would suggest to go through one of the topics and see if you're able to solve its topic test using the material in the sheet. Otherwise you can refer more resources. Since there are only 3 months left for CAT, I wouldn't advise using too many resources. Limit them and refer to only easy questions for now - from any resource you use, be it the online questions or Arun Sharma's book. Prepare as much as you can for CAT'23, treat it like a trial attempt but do give your best shot. It will help you with CAT'24 also in case you have to reattempt.
Currently i am preparing for upsc cse 2024 exam and due to some personal reasion i cant rely for this exam only so i want to prepare for CAT simultaneously. I prefer to not compare coaching institutes because I haven't tried all of them and each branch also differs. What I would recommend is to ask your seniors/someone who is a current student there. I've heard good reviews of all 3 of them, they're the oldest in the industry. I was myself a TIME Delhi student. So, try finding it from the regional circle if you're going for offline.

Apke circumstances apka raasta mushkil zaroor kar sakte hain but life itni bhi unfair nahi hai ki mehnat karne walo ko chance na de. Meri ek cousin ko abroad parhne jana tha. Usko 2 baar IELTS ka exam dena parha, 2 baar VISA reject hua. Lekin 2 saal wait karne ke baad aur baar baar try karne ke baad, aaj vo abroad parh rahi hai. So, mushkil hai, namumkin nahi hai.

Hi di I did my graduation in 2019, BCOM Accounting and Finance. I completed my MCOM from IGNOU in 2022 December. I have 14 months of teaching experience in a private school from Jan 2020 to Feb 2021. Working as India Post GDS since August 2022 till present. My percentage in 10th- 93.67 12th - 92.60 Graduation - 77.57 CGPA is 6.27 out of 7 PG - 66 My graduation was not from any top tier school. Its only a normal college. I am much concerned about it, that graduation was not from so good college. Will I face any problem during interviews in any top MBA colleges like IIM, SRCC, DSE, FMS etc?

Hlo di, I have a query regarding the new cgpa to percentage conversion formula of Delhi University, which states- Final percentage of marks based on all semesters = Grand CGPA* 9.5 (for examination of academic year 2021 2022 and before) or 10.0 (for examination of academic year 2022 2023 and after). My graduation started in Nov 21 and will be completed by May 24, and currently I have marks for 4 semesters (1st year and 2nd year) , so I should multiply my both year CGPA by 9.5 or both by 10 and then calculate their average or instead I should multiply my first year CGPA with 9.5 and 2nd year with 10 and then take their average which one is correct method for calculating percentage
Pretty sure you gotta use 9.5, the 10.0 factor is for students studying under NEP ie students who started their grad after or in the academic year 2022-2023. It makes a lot of sense, considering the syllabus under NEP has been made abhorrent ly difficult 😔
This is a really tricky question, sometimes I feel the DU authorities need to simplify such stuff for students. Firstly, did you try reaching out to the CAT authorities on the helpines - +91-0522-6696676/6068 | cat2023-helpdesk@iiml.ac.in (tbh, I don't think even they will know the answer to this). Then, I'd also suggest asking this question in doubt forums like iQuanta Fb group (open to all for asking anything) - facebook.com/groups/iquantacat or telegram groups (I don't know which ones are the most active rn). If nothing works, I would say go with the last option you mentioned. 1st year x 9.5 2nd year x 10 Reason: that's what the guidelines seem to be saying. Even if there is any discrepancy during the interviews, simply explain the same to the MBA college's authorities at the time of interviews, they rectify the marks on the spot without causing any issue. I also filled x 10 while the guidelines said later it has to be x 9.5. There was no issue at all.
